My W.T.F./Whoo Hoo Wednesday is slightly different this week. I’m not really sure what the issue is, if I’m suffering from writer’s block, the change in the seasons or burnout, all I know is I’m finding it hard to sit down and write.
Maybe it’s because PCW Computer promised me my laptop would be ready in four to five business days and here I sit eight business days later without my laptop!
W.T.F. PCW? Don’t you work on computers? Don’t you know how long it takes to replace a power jack?
When I called they said, we had to order the part, it should be done by Wednesday. Why don’t you carry power jacks in stock? What kind of computer repair store does NOT carry power jacks?
I can guarantee you I will not be using PCW Computer again and once my laptop is safely back in my lap, I’m going to let them know why.
Not having my laptop has not been good. Yesterday I spent most of the afternoon looking for W.T.F. posts, which normally come across my facebook page, but I could find nothing.
Stone Manor
I had to look to Stone Manor for some W.T.F.’s.
Dear Bob Stone,
You are cute, I’ll give you that. And I love the way you are learning to sit on command and how you think you are a dog and mimic what they do, but W.T.F. do you think is going to happen when you are directly under my feet?
First the sound you make will either give me a heart attack or cause me to shit myself have an accident. Second I only have two legs, do you know how hard it is to shave scabby legs?
I didn’t think so.
Do you like getting stepped on or is it you like clawing the shit heck out of my legs?
Stop. Getting. Under. My. Feet.
W.T.F./Whoo/Hoo
These next two stories (for me anyway) fall into W.T.F and Whoo Hoo.
A Community Comes Together to Reunite a Little Girl with her Stolen Dog, San Jose, CA
A family’s house was robbed and the thieves took a ten-year-old little girl’s puppy.
W.T.F.? I can picture this so clearly in my mind, two stoonads running around the house grabbing items of value and stuffing them in a messenger bag, “ooh look at this iPAD we can get $100 for this, and probably $50 for that netbook, hey Bubba, don’t forget that little Shorkie in the corner, what do you suppose we can get for a Shorkie?”
I know there are lots of dog fences in this country, but I don’t know of many places that fence dogs. Perhaps our thieves missed the fact that MILLIONS of dogs are euthanized every year because they wind up in shelters.
Here’s the best and sweetest part of this story, the little girl offered all the money in her piggy bank as a reward for the return of her puppy. (Collective AWWWWWW) The city council and police and fire unions chipped in as well.
The reward worked and the dog was found 80 miles away and returned to the little girl.
This next story is horrendous.
King County seizes dog that killed Chihuahua in Tukwila last week, Wukwila, WA
A 12-year-old girl was walking her aunt’s Chihuahua, Champ when an aggressive dog slipped away from his owner and attacked Champ.
I hate to be the Debbie Downer here, but this child should NOT have been walking the dog, specifically for this reason. Do I think a kid should be able to walk their dog? Absolutely. But with the idiot dog owner virus running rampant in this country (and no apparent vaccine in sight) it’s not wise to let your children walk the dog unattended by an adult.
The dog’s owner stood there and watched as his dog attacked the Chihuahua and told the young girl, ‘your dog is dead, your dog is dead.’ After his dog dropped little Champ the guy just walked away.
Yo douche bag, we have people called responsible dog owners in this country, if you can’t be a responsible dog owner, you might try being a human being.
I really believe we should have a nationwide animal registry in this country so assholes like this can never own an animal.
Ever Again.
Sadly Champ died on his way to the vet.
Here is the Whoo Hoo part, a local resident delivered a new puppy to the family, Eric Bertlesen knows the puppy cannot replace Champ, but he does want the young girl to know that not all people are bad.
The owner of Champ left this comment on the news story,
“As for the owner and his dog, personally, I hate that the dog is the one who had to be punished for this. The dog was being a dog. I believe that dogs are capable of being vicious killers or loyal companions (they are decedents of wolves after all.) The owner has control over which qualities to bring out best. The man in question failed to be human and take responsibility for his dog. Had he stayed at the park, maybe even offered an apology, none of this would have happened. We would have accepted it as an accident, and painfully tried to move on. The fact that he knew what he was doing when he walked away and chose to ignore the signs we posted up by his apartment complex shows really just shows how much character he lacks. He let his dog down, and I hope that they are able to rehabilitate the dog and find a decent home with capable owners to watch over him. 2 animals don’t have to die over this.”
Wow, I don’t know if I could be so generous if my dog was attacked.
So how has your week been? Any W.T.F.’s or Whoo Hoo’s you’d like to share? How’s your writing going, am I the only one struggling?
