Welcome to this week’s edition of Follow-Up Friday, the blog hop that let’s you wrap up your week and leads you right into the weekend.
Joining me today is none other then my dear friend, Linda from the 2 Brown Dawgs. Her training posts with Thunder, Storm and Freighter are always entertaining. Many thanks to Linda for sharing the co-hosting duties this week.
Kim asked, “Great fun, isn’t it? But don’t you just have to wonder if the horses and donkey are secretly laughing at the dogs because they can’t get to them?!”
It was great fun, the best part was the horses and donkeys could have cared less. They basically just ignored the dogs.
Caren said, “I think your dogs actually wanted to PLAY with that donkey!”
I think Sampson wanted to play, but I’m not sure about Delilah.
The owner of the llama farm told me there is one donkey that likes to get the dogs in trouble. He will run the fence and get the dogs all riled up so their owners yell at the dogs.
They have a sign posted warning of this donkey.

Jan said, “We had a similar experience in a different town in Virginia when a tire shop stayed after hours in the evening to help out wayfaring strangers. Are all small businesses in Virginia this Heart like a Dog?”
Good question. I have no idea, but I’m truly grateful to find such wonderful people.
Cupcake said, I love a guy named Cookie! I mean what’s not to love? Unless there was a guy named Bacon…. Or Cheese…. Or Chicken….”
This comment made me laugh.
Dawn said, “Sweet! Heart like a Dog indeed. The world could use more people like that. See if Southern Tire and Muffler has a facebook page and post there. Also, search for the business on Google and give him a Google review. Mail him something. Send Cookie a box of gourmet cookies!
Those are super great ideas Dawn!! I did try and find a website but not a facebook page. They did tell me they both work for the fire department and I thought I might call and find out which one and make a donation.
JoAnn said, “That looks like a horseshoe nail, wonder where you got that?”
Well we were out in the country so I imagine just about anywhere. 🙂
Pup Fan said, “I love that you find other people with hearts like a dog wherever you go.”
Awwww
Thank you all for sharing Dude, I’m hoping he got out. I saw his name and the title just popped into my head, so I ran with it. I hope the lyrics helped in some way.
Pamela said, “Maybe you should record it and send it on to the shelter?”
Um, negative Pamela. That would not help this dog get adopted. 😉
Ya’ll are some very clever folks. Since I can’t highlight them all here I encourage you to go back and read the comments. This one from Dawn made me chuckle, ”
(whisper) Please not the vet, please not the vet, please not the vet…”
Carol was the one who came closest to what I was thinking. She said, “Which way dad…ill co-pilot.”
So without further ado, here is the photo, with my caption.
The real story? Hubby was eating a banana and bananas are one of Delilah’s favorite foods. She was waiting patiently for him to share with her. 😀
I was hesitant to go the “Mac route” since I’m usually slow learning new things, but since I’ve been using the iPhone and the iPad, I figured why not. I’ve also had fellow bloggers tell me it’s awesome, so I guess we’ll see.
Jackie said, “(Just not being about to copy/paste w/ Ctrl C/V would probably send me ’round the bend.) ”
At first I couldn’t figure it out, but then I googled it and it’s actually very similar to windows. You still hit the ‘c’ to copy and the ‘v’ to paste, it’s just the ‘control’ key that’s different. I’m sure once I get use to it, it will be fine.
What I’d really like to figure out is how to open a link in a new tab. That would be kick ass. 😀
That’s a wrap for this week’s edition of Follow-Up Friday, co-hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs blog and Heart Like a Dog.
