Bob the cat has been with us going on two and a half months now. Naturally as with any addition to a household there are some adjustments.
Both dogs (at different times) have snapped at the cat when I am preparing their meals. We rectified this by feeding the cat first.
Sometimes the dogs chase the cat, I tried to rectify this by telling the dogs no; that is until I noticed that sometimes for no reason whatsoever, the cat swipes at the dogs. Hmmmm I decided then that the gloves were off, if the dogs chase the cat or the cat swipes at the dogs, then it will have to play out the way nature intended.
My big boy (all 91 pounds of him) won’t walk past the cat, if the cat is in the doorway. I need to shoo the cat away and then Sampson will walk thru.
Sometimes the cat will walk into our bedroom and meow and the dogs will shoot off the bed and chase the cat out; sometimes they don’t respond to the cat at all.
Then last night it happened. The cat came into the bedroom where I was blogging and the dogs were snoozing and……..
I tried from my seat (just to the right of Bob’s bum) to get a picture of all three of them on the bed.
Finally I had to get up to take a decent (not great) picture.
Bob was so happy to be up on the bed with the three of us, he was looking adoringly at Delilah and purring.
Today he swiped at Sampson.
