Delilah really worked the poles today; the weave poles that is. The weave poles are challenging for a couple of reasons. 1) The poles aren’t set-up every Saturday so we don’t get the same practice on them as we do the tunnel, tire, jumps etc. 2) The weave poles are a little harder for the larger dogs, simply because the dogs are well …large. The smaller dogs can get their heads and bodies thru the gaps much easier than the larger dogs.
I have to confess, I enjoy the Saturday drop in agility class as much, if not more than Delilah. The class is challenging for us, both physically and mentally, but I for one truly enjoy the camaraderie of being around other people who love their dogs as much as I do and who want to have fun with them.
We probably laugh more than we do anything else. Which is great, the dogs all get along and the humans all get along and everyone has a great time. One of these days I’m going put a video camera up to capture all the hijinks that takes place during one of these Saturday agility classes. Until then, you will just have to take my word for it. 🙂
