I’m↓ always sharing photos and stories of things my dogs do that make me laugh or smile. Truth be told, sometimes I do something with my dogs that also makes me laugh or smile.
Like yesterday, after I’d spent the whole day working and wanted to give the dogs their walks before dinner. After giving Sampson his walk, I got Delilah ready and out the door we went.
About half-way through our walk, I looked down at Delilah and realized something.
Look closely.
Can you figure out what it is?

If you guessed that I put Sampson’s harness on Delilah, give yourself a pat on the back!
I did laugh, but I was ever so grateful that nothing happened that got her riled up, so that she slipped the harness.
A time or two, I’ve tried to put Delilah’s harness on Sampson, but since he weighs about 15 to 20 pounds more than she does, hers does not fit him.
I guess you could technically say that his doesn’t fit her either…but we made it work.
Have you ever used the wrong equipment on your pet?

Not quite the same, but your story made me think of it –
We used to take our cat Avery up through my grandmother’s house in a vest harness quite frequently. One time my husband wrapped a scarf around Avery because he thought it’d be cute.. My cat thought it was a vest harness and politely went and stood at the door the way he did when we were about to take him up through the house. Too funny & stupid cute <3. Love pet moments like these. 🙂

Not really around here, but we all have different colors so it is pretty easy. Mom has put on the harness wrong on Madison and she slipped out going after a bunny. Mom dove in head first into the tall brush and managed to grab her tail and get her back. Scary moment!

Heh, heh. I hope at the point of realization you also checked to see if your pants were on. 😆

I have everything color coded or we would never leave the house as scattered as I sometimes am.
Callie, Shadow, and Ducky's Mom says
Well, with the huge disparity in Shadow’s and Ducky’s sizes, I haven’t made that mistake; but before Ducky came along, I used to switch Callie’s and Shadow’s harnesses. No biggie though because there was only about 2 or 3 pounds difference in their weights and about a quarter of an inch difference in their measurements.

I knew there was something fishy with the harness, but wasn’t sure what! Luckily for me, my dogs are so different in size I don’t have to worry about that. Even when we still had Sheba, she and Luke had totally different types of harnesses, so it wasn’t an issue. Otherwise, I’m sure I would have done that!
I have occasionally mixed up their dishes when feeding them, but always caught myself before putting them down, much to Cricket’s dismay – she was looking forward to a meal twice her normal size – LOL!
