It’s no secret, the dogs I live with make me laugh. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re labradors, or it’s just their personalities. These goofy dogs make me laugh, every single day. Problem is, sometimes I just can’t capture the humor in a photo. So I have to improvise.
The last couple of weeks, we’ve had some super hot, humid weather. I’m not a fan of summer, so hot, humid weather means one thing.
Air conditioning.
We don’t have central air, instead we have a wall unit in the living room, and a window unit in my bedroom.
In the morning, I shut the bedroom doors, and put the window unit on. Around 7:00 pm, I shut the living room air off, and turn on the air in the bedroom, and close the door.
One night last week, I was in the bathroom, and Hubby took the dogs out for the last potty of the night. As I finished up my toiletry, I heard a thump at the bedroom door, which is right outside of the bathroom.
When I looked, there was Sampson, waiting outside the bedroom door. I opened the door, and went inside to turn on the lamp, and when I turned around, there was Sampson, laying on the floor outside the bedroom, but instead of being completely outside, he had the tip of his nose, and his front paws just over the threshold.
Not in the room far enough for me to shut the door, but not completely in the hall either.
When I went back out to the living room, I told Hubby what Sampson had done and Hubby and I laughed and laughed.
Sometimes, he’s such a little dick, but that’s one of the things we love about him.

I could see Shadow doing the same thing, but we – thankfully – have central air so I don’t have to worry about it. And Ducky sleeps in her crate at night.

Some dogs seem to have a book of cute and funny things to do. S and D have written their own book.

Someone knew how to get some cool air!

Yup, even when they’re always in our way and trying to trip us up, we still love them to death!

Thankfully, Mom likes closed doors even less than we pets do, so they are rarely shut around here.

Doors are meant to be opened. Period. By dogs, be it with noses or paws. 🙂
