I’m a bad dog mama. I bought Sampson and Delilah toys for Easter, and I forgot to give them to them. Luckily for me, the dogs didn’t know it was Easter, so they weren’t twixed about not receiving them on time.
When I finally got around to it, this is the reaction I got.
It’s tough to live with that kind of enthusiasm.
Delilah of course, accepted her bunny with relish.
Not the real relish that you put on hotdogs, although, I’m sure she would have taken that too. No, Delilah attacked her bunny with delight, promptly destroying it and pulling the squeaker out.
Eventually her squeaking woke someone up.
Not that it mattered, I mean, he just went right back to sleep. Which of course, made me smile.
For the record…she got that squeaker out the next week.

Super cute bunnies and most of us don’t mind if gifts come late.
Love the passion they both showed:)
Samson looks so sweet with his bunny! (Delilah looks like a murderer with hers, but we understand, Delilah. The squeaker is evil and it must be stopped.)
The bunnies brought out their unique personalities; Lover and Murderer.
I’ve forgotten to give my girls their birthday presents, so don’t feel bad. But truthfully other than Ducky’s first birthday, and Shadow’s 11th birthday (2 months after Callie got her angel wings), we haven’t made a big fuss about their birthdays in years. Except on the blog. Shadow turns 13 this year though, so we’ll see what happens.
I love the bunnies! Looks like Delilah enjoyed destroying hers. Does Sampson still have his, even squeaker-less?
Luke wants to know why it took her a whole week to get the squeaker out. He could give her lessons. 🙂
Cricket is just like Sampson….so much more laid back with toys. Until you get a ball out in the morning. 🙂
Too sweet. But perhaps he preferred a different colored one. Just a thought. Long live the squeakers…or with chewers, let’s just hope squeakers last the week.
Those reactions make me smile too!
Hi Jodi! Thanks for posting these pictures of Sampson and Delilah with their easter toys, they made me smile too!
