Welcome and thank you for joining me for this week’s Pet Blogger Showcase. I hope you enjoy the posts I chose as much as I did.
Proper Puppy Enrichment is Important – Madison’s First Two Weeks by Emma Dog at my GBGV Life – Exposing puppies to as many experiences as possible is so crucial in their development. The crew at My GBGV life is really having fun with Madison. Siriusly, I could watch her chasing Bailie through the tunnel all day long. And besides which…PUPPY!
A Well Socialized Puppy is a Happy Puppy by Kathleen at All Things Collie – One of the things I’ve learned from the blogging world, is how a responsible breeder raises puppies. I truly believe if all dogs were socialized from such a young age, there would be very few dogs in shelters. And also. Puppies!!
Living With a Dog’s Luxating Patella by Jan at Wag ‘N Woof Pets – Luke was diagnosed with a Luxating Patella at a very young age. Jan and her husband decided to treat it conservatively, which is also how we treated Sampson’s partial cruciate tear. As it turns out, the conservative treatment for the luxating patella, is almost identical to the conservative management of a cruciate tear. Not surprising at all, I guess, considering they are both knee injuries.
Honorable Mention:
Tramper’s Sunday Selfie by Animal Shelter Volunteer Life – How sweet is this guy? I love how she uses the Sunday showcase, to share a different shelter cat every week.
So those are my picks, did you have a favorite that I missed?

You definitely can’t go wrong with puppy posts!! That Madison is so darn adorable.
Thank you for including us. I guess it does make sense that our treatments for Luke and Sampson are about the same. I think CCL is the injury we have to worry about if we don’t have the surgery for Luke. I didn’t get a chance to reply yet, but thank you for mentioning the Adequan injections – I will definitely be keeping that in mind.

Thanks for choosing our post. So many people don’t realize the importance of doing so many things with a tiny puppy, but it can really help shape a dog for life. The post from All Things Collie also has great advice.

Reading about puppies makes me want one, but reading about all the work makes me happy to not have one,

So many cute puppies last time! Here’s a little secret–there may be another puppy making an appearance at the next showcase 😉 Puppies make it hard to sit down to write, though!

Thank you for sharing these, I have some reading to catch up on 🙂 And you’re absolutely right about the importance of socialization – there have been a few studies that found under-socialized dogs are a lot more likely to display problem behaviors later on.

You’re giving me a case of puppy love! Except that the practical side of me is running the show now, ever since we adopted Theo (as an adult) I think “no puppies ever again!” I think my next dog might be a senior. (However, I reserve the right to get adopt a puppy!)
