You make me laugh, or smile, the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.
Sampson, when you get caught chewing on a stick and you cover the stick with your body, like if I can’t see it, you didn’t do it…
You make me laugh.
So…Sampson loves to chew on sticks, the problem is…he eats what he chews and then he vomits it up. Which can be challenging when you burn wood during the colder months.
Does your pet hide when they are doing something they shouldn’t?

We like to chew and eat sticks too, but Mom takes them all away so we can’t have them. Be careful nothing gets stuck in your throat, my friend!

I don’t see a stick! I just see an innocent looking dog 😉

I love it! Yup, Sheba does it all the time. If she’s starting to destroy a toy, I’ll say “be nice, Sheba”, and then she’ll stop and just rest her chin on it (looking dejected of course). We burn wood too but luckily these guys don’t steal it too often.

Barley used to try to hide when she was chewing something she shouldn’t or she’d wait until my back was turned to run to the trash can or cat food, but she’s gotten bolder and now she just does what she wants when she wants.
Callie, Shadow, and Ducky's Mom says
Ditto what Taryn said above – at least when it comes to Ducky. Shadow, OTH, pretty much has learned that chewing on stuff she shouldn’t (other than people food) makes her sick so she avoids it unless something else has made her nauseous.

My dogs pretty much set the rules since they outnumber the humans so no need to hide transgressions.
Monika & Sam says
Just like when they look away when busted as if ‘YOU’ can’t see them. Too sweet and adorable.

That is great technique, S. Certainly things become invisible when we want them to. When I am caught being naughty, I look Mom square in the eye and deny it was me.
Love and licks,
Cupcake

Sometimes you gotta protect the stick!
Leigh says
Don’t we all have this problem when our dog plays coy and acts as if they’re innocent even when they’ve been caught. Funny still but we should always still be careful what they put on their mouth.
Lauranne says
Oh bless him xxxx
Rebekah says
All the time! Like “You don’t see anything…”

That is the problem with sticks. There is always pukeage eventually. Ours are taught not to chew sticks, but they think their dogs houses are free game and there is always pukeage.
