You make me laugh (or smile), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.
Sampson, when you hog the fan because you’re hot…
You make me laugh.
We’ve had some super hot days lately, as have most of you. I’ve been running the air conditioning quite a bit and it finally caught up with me, via the electric bill.
Oops, have to start turning the temperature up and the AC off a wee bit sooner. Which is where the fan comes in.
Obviously, I hadn’t realized how much the dogs had come to count on it.
How’s the weather in your neck of the woods? Supposedly we are supposed to be cooler, but the humidity can be just as challenging.
Sheena says
I do that too! Lol! 😂
Emma says
We just had the week of heat and humidity, have enjoyed a few nice days, and that rotten stuff is headed back starting tomorrow. We dread those a/c bills too, not a good thing.
Sue says
We got the hot and humid weather, too, with the heat index 100 and above. I’ve got the temperature set higher than I’d like because of Gary and Rudy hogs the fan like this, too 🙂
Sand Spring Chesapeakes says
What a boy, he loves his fan. Have a great Sunday.

Now that is a smart dog! We’ve had some hot and humid weather, but most days haven’t been oppressive. We haven’t had to even get out the A/C units yet, fans alone have been enough so far.

The Dyson fan in Mom’s room makes my ears twitch. She has to aim it away from me, otherwise I shoot her the skunk eye.
Love and licks,
Cupcake

It’s been “gawd-awful” around here since the beginning of July, though we did have a few days’ break before it came back. Thankfully we have central air, so it’s not quite as expensive as window units. But every time I take the girls outside – especially these last few days – it feels like I’m stepping into a sauna. Ugh! Callie used to squeeze herself between the tea cart and the vents and hog the cool air when the fan was running. The rest of the room would be warmer, but her fur was cool to the touch. 😅

We’ve been in triple digits but with low humidity and cool mornings and evenings to get all our “business” done. No mad dogs here go out in the noon day sun.
alexa88 says
it’s been brutal here the whole month of july. we’re all suffering from cabin fever as even the nite’s are hot an humid.
in addition to central a.c. we have ceiling fans.
i’m dreaming of a white Christmas lol.

It’s hot here, too. My electric bill has been over $200 per month all summer, because of constant AC use. My dogs and I are all Freon-dependent.
Samson is a smart boy!
Monika & Sam says
Still hot in the 303 but in the good news column, only 53 days to the official start of autumn. Seeing Sampson in front of the fan cracks me up. I’ve seen dogs lay across registers on the floor to completely hog all the cool air.
Jen Gabbard says
It’s been super hot here lately as well. It always makes me laugh when Laika & I come in from outside and she plops herself right over the entire vent.
Lauranne says
He’s not backwards in coming forwards that one is he?!
Jackie Bouchard says
So cute, him flopped out in front of the fan. I should get our fan out. The heat makes me too lazy….
It’s been really hot and humid here – and we’re not used to humidity so it’s been horrid. We don’t really llike being shut up in the a/c so we just open everything and hope for lovely ocean breezes! And then I put an ice pack on my head. 🙂

We are really sick of the ac. One of the best things we did was update our air conditioner to a 90% efficient one. It has saved the electric bill. 🙂 At the cabin this morning it was actually cold. Had to put on a sweater. Maybe it means we are turning the corner to cooler weather. Probably not.
