You make me laugh (or smile), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.
Sampson and Delilah, when I drag two beds into work, so you will have a comfy place to rest, and you end up sleeping on the floor…

Backstory: Wednesday and Friday we had some trees taken down in the yard. I was unsure of how loud it was going to be in the house and whether people in the yard would bother the dogs, so, I got permission from my boss to bring the dogs to work with me.
I dragged two beds and a gate with me to work, along with their water bowl.
And then they both slept on the hard concrete floor.
Are your pups funny about where they sleep? Do you often wonder how comfortable they are?
When Callie had her first ACL surgery a few years ago, I bought one of those orthopedic crate pads to put on the cement driveway for her to rest on while she, Shadow, and I hung out in the back yard. What did she do? She got up and went over to the grass and laid down in it instead. I finally gave up and just let her lay in the grass. It made her happy. And it made Shadow happy.
Sometimes beds are hard to figure out. I’m never quite sure how they work. #braintest

We like to do the same thing to our Mom. She buys a fancy new expensive bed, we sleep next to it on the floor. She doesn’t even bring a bed when we go to the office as we never lie in them! It’s what dogs do!
LOL Sometimes I think our dogs just like to keep us guessing 😉

Sheba especially likes to lie on the hard floor, though she will occasionally use the beds. Luke prefers the furniture if it’s available, but Cricket likes to lie in the beds a lot. Right now she’s in one of the beds and her head is hanging off the side though!
The Poodles would never sleep on a floor. Read “The Princess and the Pea.”

That’s so sweet that you were able to bring them into work with you. And why they chose to rest on spots so close to where their actual beds are…who knows. Dogs are weird. The only place Laika will lay on her bed (that we’ve found thus far) is when it’s pushed up next to the couch. If it’s 3 inches away forget it. I don’t know why, and for awhile I was pretty sure she just hated the bed. But nope, she uses it all the time now that it’s in the proper place according to her.
lily likes to lay on the wood floors during the day and on our bed at nite. this fall when it gets colder if she starts having stiff joints again we will get her a bed to lay on during the day.
pups in the office. so much for getting any work done myself. too busy enjoying watching your pups sleep. could grab my laptop…yeah that would work. lol
p.s. what a caring and thoughtful mom you are. your boss must be a dog lover also to be so understanding.
I’m sure all that noise would have bothered them.
