We interrupt your regularly scheduled blog post today to bring you this important public service announcement.
United States of America, April 5, 2016
Today police along with the National Weather Service issued an All Points Bulletin (APB) for Mother Nature and Punxsutawney Phil. These two b-list ‘celebrities’ have been accused of a most duplicitous crime against the American people.
Nine weeks ago, Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his home in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and boldly predicted an early spring. This prediction came as a surprise to millions as Phil has a solid record of typically predicting six more weeks of winter.
Mother Nature who is reputed to be in collusion with the shifty Ground Hog was scheduled to usher the spring season in on the 20th of March. Yet despite mild temperatures towards the end of March, winter seems to have come back with a vengeance in many areas throughout the United States.
Pictures taken in CT in the last two days confirm the heinous nature of this crime.
Police are requesting the American public be on the look out for the two suspects, but to be wary of approaching either one.
The Internet, especially Facebook is particularly interested in finding Mother Nature, in fact, it seems her information has been shared almost to the point of becoming viral.
Punxsutawney Phil is a ground hog and while typically gentle by nature, Jimmy, Phil’s Wisconsin counter-part did bite the ear that heard him during his last personal appearance.
If you see Mother Nature or Punxsutawney Phil, do not, I repeat DO NOT try and apprehend them yourself, that is best left to the professionals.
Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

You always have the best post titles! I can’t help but open and read right away! This is so funny! Love the searching in the snow photos! Enjoy a day of sledding and hot chocolate!

Gah! Mom and I are looking for them, too! But she can’t see with her scarf pulled up over her eyes and I can’t even keep my eyes open because of the 50 mile an hour winds!
Love and licks,
Cupcake

Ha ha ha! I feel your pain!

LOL Brilliant! Thankfully no snow here, but after a few weeks of balmy temps we’ve had some sleet and hard frost every night. So much for all the blossoms and blooms (and any possibility of fruit this year.) We’ve screwed Mother Nature for so long that she thinks we deserve this (imho)

LOLOLOL – I love it!! Delilah, get him!! I actually think you got more snow than we did though. We got a couple of inches, but any amount is too much, plus it’s only 8 degrees out this morning. I had a feeling we were going to pay for our mild winter this year.
Callie, Shadow, and Ducky's Mom says
Bwahahahaha! Cute! So winter came back and bit you on the ass, huh? Come down here! We’ve had some beautiful, blue skies and sunshine 4 of the last 5 days. And temps around 60-65 all five days. Go get that ground hog, D-Dog!! Seriously, though, I love the pix!!

So funny and very creative! Thanks for the laugh.

I would describe the weather here, but why make enemies?

Oh dear, and to think I was complaining about a half inch of snow yesterday. But my complaining is nothing compared to my boyfriends “smart people don’t go to the park when it’s below freezing” statement. Yeah, it was 31 F this weekend and Laika & I still had fun regardless of the bf’s poop face.
Peyton says
Hilarious post. I will admit that I actually thought you were being serious for a short period.
Hailey and Zaphod says
They are calling for another foot here tomorrow too. Sigh! It is the winter that never ends!
Julie says
On Easter I was wearing shorts and today mittens!!

Now I feel bad for complaining when it rained the other day 😉
2 Brown Dawgs says
LOL I am sure the dogs don’t mind the snow. 🙂
Pamela says
Bwa ha ha! Mother Nature is a cruel bitch.
I’m very thankful for warm temps in South Carolina. But I’m itching so much from no-see-um bites that I’m certainly not feeling cocky.
Monika & Sam says
Snort! That last title is just perfect. I’m with you-it was in the 60-70’s March 28-30. Then bam…a snow storm. There’s no accounting for that stupid rodent and his handlers but I think Mother Nature is suffering from menopause symptoms. 😉
Lindsay says
Haha! Good one!
Some crazy weather you guys have had! Here in San Diego … pretty boring 72 degrees or so pretty much every day. I miss the snow!
Taryn says
Jimmy has dispatched a few “Phils” in his time. He is usually mad about winter ending however.
Misty Shores Chesapeakes says
LOL I do wish she would make up her mind. My poor daffodils are freezing :/
Beth says
Wow! That’s a lot of snow! We got a dusting on Saturday–and 50 mph wind gusts that knocked over trees in our neighborhood–but it was all melted by Sunday. Then we got freezing rain on Monday and my mailbox got frozen shut. I might like Barley apprehend Phil if we see him . . .
