You make me laugh (or smile), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis, that brings a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.
Sampson, the way you focus on the dog, and ignore everyone else around you…
You make me laugh.
Yesterday was my niece’s birthday and since she adores Sampson and he adores her, I thought it would be nice to stop by on our way home from rehab, and wish her a Happy Birthday in person.
They were both thrilled and my niece climbed in the car and everything was hunky dory. UNTIL my sister came out with her dog, Mo. Sampson and Mo gave each other a good sniffing and then my sister brought Mo back inside.
And then everything else was ignored as Sampson stared at my sister’s door, until she brought Mo back. Then the two of them had a Mexican stand-off while my niece and I laughed ourselves silly in the car.
Do your dogs get focused like Sampson?

When the deer run behind my house or the squirrel runs along the powerline strung back there, nothing will call the boys off of those!
Merlin usually focuses on inanimate objects lol. The last standoff he had was with a bucket of all things.
LOL! A Mexican stand off! We only have that focus for squirrels and wabbits.
Ducky gets focused on squirrels and there’s no getting through to her until she can’t see them any more, or she loses interest.
Hailey is so like that! She is uber-focused. Phod has his moments but can be distracted.
Thank Goodness Mom learned to say, “Leave it.” to me. It unclicks my ridiculous focus. Truth be told, when it comes to another dog it only lasts about 10 seconds, but if we haven’t reached a place where I can’t see my potential best friend in the world, she says it again.
Love and licks,

♪ღ♪Happy birthday wishes to your niece ♪ღ♪. There have been a couple of occasions when I couldn’t get Sam to not uber focus on a passing dog. He even walked into a pole because he was so focused on one particular dog he just couldn’t take his eyes off of no matter what I tried to distract him. No wonder that dog is so dimwitted. And yes, I did laugh my butt off at his crash cuz that’s the way I roll. 🙂 Bwahaha.
Oh yes, Cocoa is very focused. She will get something in her head and it is almost impossible to get her attention. She was following a scent this morning on our walk and it was all I could do to keep up, haha.
Maia gets focused on…well I am not real sure what she focuses on. She stares at the ceiling from time to time. Maybe an itty bitty spider, a fuzz, dust, not sure because I have yet to see anything. I think it might really freak me out if I were watching a scary movie 😉
Titan is very focused when we are training, he marks and watches those birds very intensely. Very rare he has a hard time finding the downed bird.
Riva is focused on one thing and one thing only…food lol
Cheyenne’s focus is on me always 🙂
That’s hilarious and adorable!
Sampson wants to play with his buddy mo.
LOL Sampson is very focused.
