You make me laugh (or smile), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.
Sampson, the way you just lie there, with no complaints, while the physical therapist is blowing you dry…
you make me laugh.
So Sampson had hydrotherapy last Wednesday and the therapist likes to dry him off. She has this extremely high-powered blow dryer, it’s so powerful you can actually SEE the water flying off Sampson and he just lies there while she moves his leg, or rolls him over.
This dog is so sweet, and so easy-going it’s actually comical.
How are your pets when people are working on them? Are they easy-going and relaxed like Sampson?

What a good guy… So brave and so sweet. I mostly stare straight ahead and go to my happy place in my head. I also shiver a lot.
Love and licks,
Cupcake

There are no words to describe what a difference between Sandman and Mo are. Night and day?! ๐ฉ
Hailey and Zaphod says
Hailey is definitely not relaxed, really ever – never tried with Phod. Hope the hydrotherapy is working.
Callie, Shadow, and Ducky's Momb says
Callie was really good about letting the vet do almost anything EXCEPT rolling her over from one side to the other. She preferred to get up and turn around by herself and then lie down again. Yet, she rolled over in her sleep countless times. Shadow will hide in a corner of the room if she doesn’t want you to do something; but once she comes out of the corner, she’s as pliable as a mozzarella cheese stick. Ducky is usually pretty good once we’re in the exam room as opposed to the reception area.
Hope the hydrotherapy helps Sampson’s knee to heal!!

Sampson is so awesome! No, my crew will barely stay still when I try to dry them off with a towel!
Monika & Sam says
Those easy going pups are the best. One of the sheepdogs used to try to ‘eat’ the air coming from the dryer if she couldn’t escape the infernal noise. Sam just sulks. Can’t decide if he hates water or the blow dryer more. ๐

What a good boy, bet that all felt good.
Emma says
I’m the same way. Mom blow dries my ears and beard a lot and I just sit there and wait for her to finish with her nonsense! She doesn’t have the patience to dry my off entirely after a bath, though.
Elaine says
Aw, that’s such a sweet image of Sampson. He’s so tolerant and such a good boy. He’s been through a lot lately and I hope the therapy is helping. I might be looking into doing this for Haley too since it seems to help a lot. Hang in there Sampson! ๐

usually hubby an i take lily to the vets together. one person to take lily in to the vet while the other, usually me, stays in the waiting room. thus able to explain to people in the waiting room that its our dog they hear and no shes not in pain or having her leg taken off, she is just having her ears checked. I’m serious. thats how much she hates the ear scope.
we have had her from a tiny puppy so we know no truma ever took place.
Samson-hope the hydrotherapy works for you. you are such a good boy nose smooch.
Julie says
What a sweet pup you are Sampson. That is nice that they blow dry him. Like a little spa treatment, haha. How did hydrotherapy go??
Mary Ann says
Sampson does look relaxed. Water therapy must agree with him!
In the winter, we take Lila to a “dog pawlour” for baths and nail trims. Last month, the special was free tooth brushing, and she fully cooperated! Her teeth looked shiny too!
I guess animals like to get pampered too!
Dachshund Nola says
What a sweet boy! Nola’s generally fine with family and friends working on her, but anything to do with the vet sends her into freak out mode.
Rebekah says
I love how laid back he is! My girl hates air driers when I take her to a DIY bath place.

Hello Jodi,
Such a strong and lovely pet you have.
Sampson is really a nice dog.
My dog only stays clam, only when I am doing works on him.
Either I wash him off or whenever I am trying to Done things properly, he always tend to be a nice pet.
Unless and until anyone touches him. Wonder he could be little more polite while taking him to a doctor or
a hydro therapist.
Have a great week ahead and say hi to Sampson from my side.

Mine is pretty well-behaved, when it comes to the vet or the groomers, never had a single issue, I could leave her alone and she would be fine. But her brother, oh boy that one was a handful, and I had to be there with him all times. Definitely different characters.
Sampson deserves some treats for being so good! ๐
lauranne says
Oh look at that face bless him
Pamela says
That look on Sampson’s face in your picture? That’s Honey’s exact look when we lowered her off the side of the boat into the dinghy.
Gotta love a mellow pup, eh?
Misty Shores Chesapeakes says
Awe what a good boy, look at that sweet face!
I can not say mine would like being blow dried with a high powered dryer. I am thinking out of all of them Maia and Riva would probably smile at it while trying to get away.
2 Brown Dawgs says
Is it loud? I am pretty sure brown dawgs would not sit still for that. Sampson is brave and sweet.
