You make me smile (or laugh), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.
Sampson, your infinite patience with me, even when I’m wrapping you up in Christmas garland….
you make me smile.
About a month ago, Hubby and I were putting up some decorations on the little deck on our house, we were outside, so naturally Sampson was too.
I had just spent about 10 minutes in the house with both dogs trying to get a photo under the tree that would work for our Christmas card (with no luck mind you.) I finally decided, I’ll do separate photos.
We were stretching out the garland so we could hang it and I thought, “Why the hell not see how he’ll do if I wrap it around him?”
This dog is so easy going. He tolerated it quite well and as you can see, he even sort of posed for the camera. Of course, if I’d tried to put a hat on him, it wouldn’t have come out as well.
Do your dogs let you pose them for photos, or are they particular like mine?
Callie, Shadow, and Ducky's Mom says
My girls are as finicky about posing as Shadow sometimes is about her food. Especially Ducky. There are times when she’ll almost seem like she’s begging me to take a picture of her. And other times, when I reach for the camera to capture a cute expression on her face she’ll move and ruin it. Shadow is usually more patient. But Callie and Kissy were my best posers. They both had the patience of a saint when it came to my constant picture taking.
I love that picture of Sampson by the way!

What a good boy! I usually let Mom do ANYTHING to me when she’s taking pictures. She usually has Cheerios or freeze dried chicken pieces in her pocket. I will use every brain cell in my head to balance a hat up there. …because of the Cheerios and chicken…
Love and licks,
Cupcake

You know me. Pretty much anything flies with me. I don’t mind and it makes me happy when Mom starts snapping the photos.
Meagan & Merlin says
Merlin like a true lab will pose for food. He will tolerate wearing bunny ears and antlers for food. If you wear the ears or antlers yourself, he will take them off of your head.

He’s such a good, patient boy! Luke is the only one that will really pose for me…the girls just cannot stay still.
Hailey and Zaphod says
Love Sampson’s face in this picture. “The things I put up with!”
I agree taking separate pictures is easier.
Rebekah says
My girl and one of my boys are pretty good at posing. When they are in the mood for it, that is.
Julie says
Sampson you sweet pup!! Miss Cocoa does not like her picture taken at all. I have to have my camera ready at all times so I can get one before she knows I am trying to take a picture because then she will look away and nothing I can say or do will make her look my way!!
Monika says
It’s ok, Sampson…green is definitely your color even when mom tries to flummox you. 😉

My dogs have a pathological terror of cameras and I have given up on the whole idea of photography
