You make me laugh (or smile), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.
Delilah, the way you rest your head on Dad’s shoulder while he’s driving, in the hopes of getting a bite of his sandwich…
You make me laugh.
I took this photo on our way to New Hampshire last weekend. We had made some sandwiches so we wouldn’t have to stop for food.
When Hubby took his sandwich out, Delilah took notice.
It really made me laugh.
Plus it’s a super cute photo, there’s no denying it. 🙂

Ya gotta be in it to win it. Any opportunity can be The One, D.

Oh my! That is a great photo and a lot of ambition from Delilah. If we could reach that far, we would probably try to snatch it, but we are way in the back belted in…several feet from any food! Love it!

There is definitely no doubt that is absolutely adorable! There is something about when a dog rests their chin on something that is just so darn cute every time.

Definitely a super cute photo! Now tell the truth, did she get a little taste? 🙂

At least she is good and stays in the back, my gang would be in my lap if I had a sandwich. It is a very sweet photo. Now eat the damn sandwich!

She and Rita have something in common – the girls know how to work their daddies! Super cute pic!

Delilah drooling on flannel shirt
sniffing and snuffling in dads ear. was she also talking? i can just imagine hearing her heavy sighs. i’d be taking a large bite of the sandwich then just passing it on back to her. lol
P.S. my profile pic is of lily our 11year old Hovawart. still healthy and blessing us with her love and happiness.
while on walks she loves to drop on her back and roll around. it must feel real good cause she will get to talking away or maybe it’s singing lol. she looks so happy when she does this that people often stop just to watch her. they laugh and smile. just another way she spresds happiness.

Haha that is just like Thunder. I have been bringing a few pretzels with me in the car on long trips (say to the cabin) to snack on. (Sometimes I need a snack due to my medication.) Thunder ALWAYS notices.

Wow – I am truly amazed at Delilah’s restraint.
I do not eat in the car if I have B with me. I’m fairly certain the next day’s headline would read, “WOMAN INJURED IN CAR WRECK CAUSED BY HER DOG HIJACKING HER CHEESEBURGER; DOG UNHARMED. LEGISTLATION SOON TO PASS PROHIBITING DOG OWNERS FROM EATING IN THEIR VEHICLES IF THEIR DOGS ARE ACCOMPANYING THEM.”

Aw, that’s not only cute, it’s sweet! When I was a little girl – 5 or 6 – and we would drive to Newport, Vermont, to spend our summer vacation with my grandparents, I would rest my chin on my dad’s shoulder and ask “are we there yet?” at least a dozen times. My nose isn’t as long as Delilah’s, but the look on my face was probably similar.

Puck (my OES) used to either block the entire rear view mirror with her fat head or lay her head on my shoulder. I used to feel badly having to shift and disturbing her. Sam just prayed she didn’t sit on him while he was laying in the back seat hoping to get to destination A and get out of the car. That photo made me smile too and recall my D-dog equivalent. Good one, Jodi! 😉
