You make me smile (or laugh), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.
Delilah, when you lie down and take a nap at Grandma’s house…
You make me smile.
Delilah is not a dog that relaxes very well. Usually when she goes down to my mom’s house, she snoops about, cleans up the floor and then wants to go back upstairs.
It has taken eight years, but slowly she’s becoming more comfortable at lying down while visiting mom.
THAT makes me smile.
How are your pups? Do they easily settle down when out of their element, or does it take them some time?

Congrats on getting Delilah relaxed at your Mum’s house.
Cody never used to enjoy going in the car. The ac blowing in his face, the radio and when someone calls, the phone connects to the car speakers and sounds pretty loud.
Now Cody likes the car because it’s better than whatever dangers are outside! When I take him in the car, he’s relaxed until he hears something new, jumps up, looks out the window and lets out this little woof. Then he’ll stumble over when we turn a corner, get back up and look at me like ‘What was that for?’ His little ‘car routine’ that always makes me smile π

It takes mine some time to settle down when out of their element. But they will settle, when they realise they are staying where they are.

You look super-chill, D. When I’m not at home, I snoop, clean the floor, then snoop and clean the floor again. Then I follow Mom like a shadow. I am rarely super-chill….
Love and licks,
Cupcake

Lots of us are nervous around those walker thingys as the people who use us seem to have a knack for running over dogs with them. I would sleep with one eye open around one too.

Your such a good visitor. Mine will settle in, Gambler I have to be on high alert so he doesn’t mark his territory.

She just needs a little metal cage to protect herself from any evil forces that might crop up when she is out of her comfort zone. I love the eyes.

Even our beagle Kobi was restless when we went to other people’s houses, and he was our most easy going dog. I don’t think he liked being away from his food, and worried we wouldn’t get home in time for his next meal. π
Callie, Shadow, and Ducky's Mom says
Callie & Shadow can pretty much relax wherever they go, as long as I’m with them. Ducky is another story. She can relax here at home and at daycare, but anywhere else she is as “antsy” as a fish out of water.
Glad that Miss D is finally starting to relax at Grandma’s house. π

Aw, that’s so sweet. No wonder it makes you smile. Those small victories totally warm the heart. Because Sam is such a nosy Parker anyway, it always takes several minutes to calm down his long honker when we go my my mom’s house but once he’s done sniffing everything, he zonks out like he owns the place…till he hears the front door open then we go through it all over again. Now I realize why he’s so slim! Maybe I should trademark that process for human weight loss. π

It’s amazing to me how long it can take dogs to finally settle in and relax. Like Delilah, Laika doesn’t settle easily. When we visit my fathers house I call it a victory if she even sits down for a minute π

Oh bless her! Although I have to say that doesn’t look awfully comfy!

I’m glad Delilah is more relaxed.
They say I can sleep anywhere!
