You make me smile.
For the past few weeks Sampson has been going downstairs and spending most of his days with my mom. I’m not really sure why. I know that he and Delilah typically sleep all day and I also know that most days he’s only sleeping on my mom’s bed, but for whatever reason, he loves spending a good part of his time downstairs.
It’s funny because when I come home he wants to greet me and will come upstairs, but then he wants to go back down.
I’ll joke with my mom sometimes, here’s your dog, I took him for a walk.
What do you suppose the appeal is? Does your dog have a preference where they spend their day?
I’m not sure why Sampson does what he does, I’m sure he has his reasons. Haha. I love the picture with his head on the step. That’s a keeper!
Maybe Sampson craves human company? Maybe Grandma sneaks him forbidden treats when you’re not around? Maybe both?
That is so sweet, S. You are nice to share yourself and make everybody smile. As long as I can stare out the window waiting for Mom’s car, I’m happy. She knows that is what I do because she watches me on her doggie surveillance camera from her phone! Gah!

Just like people, sometimes we just like to change things up. I love my window seat, but for a while I was bored with it and preferred to sleep in the back office room all morning. Now I am back in my window.
He’s so dang cute. He is being the loving companion to your mom, and taking the job seriously.

What a sweet dog. He loves your mum and wants as much time with her as possible. Maybe she has a calming presence that rubs off on him.

Sampson has a very logical mind, but it’s hard for humans to understand dog logic at times.
Aww that’s such a cute look; I don’t know why dogs choose to hang out where they do, they can be very weird animals.

No doubt Sam reclines either on a bed or the sofa, notwithstanding the rule that dogs may NOT be on the furniture unless invited. Sigh. 🙂
