You make me smile (or laugh,) the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.

Delilah of course is right with me, under my feet, blocking my way, but not Sampson. Sampson waits patiently.
How do your dogs wait for their walks? Are they patient like Sampson or a PITA like Delilah?

Oh, Sampson, you’re such a good boy!! For the most part, Callie & Shadow are calm, patient waiters like you. Ducky, on the other hand, is more like Delilah. She will drive us crazy with her barking and pacing at times, generally being a total PITA. (Callie and Shadow don’t normally get impatient unless they REALLY have to go.) I love that photo, that face, and that dog! And yes, D, I love you too.
Three whirling PITA’s over here. And since I walk them separately, it’s like “Take Me! Take Me! Take Me!”

How do dogs do that…sleeping with one eye open and the other closed? Too sweet. Pogo sticks like Sam almost never close their eyes and wait patiently-he’s too busy bouncing up and down even at the thought of going for a walk. 🙂
He looks like the essence of patience….something I had no idea dogs could even do.
That is so cute! There is no patience around here. Once shoes or coats or leashes come out, whatever tips them off, all heck breaks loose!

Blueberry is patient. But it is hilarious how she’ll stealthily move around the house as I am getting ready – first she’s in one corner watching me, then in another. Then I sit on the step in front of the sofa to put her harness on and she sits in front of me calmly. After that, I still have to finish readying myself and at that point, she’ll be somewhere near the door, to make sure I don’t try to skip out without her.
Blueberry is soooo different from my last dog Shadow. Shadow wasn’t really under foot, but she was very vocal about how long it would take me to get ready. Have you ever tried to urinate while having a dog howl/whine/bark at you? It’s very unnerving. I called it “extreme peeing”. I don’t do well under pressure, so it was very challenging.
Awe very cute. Hey Sampson I have been doing the one eye thing too, but less and less as my eye heals. 🙂
