Do you ever worry about your dogs taking off on you? (Then again, it could just be me and the zany dog that I have.)
One of the things I worry about when Delilah splits is….what if she lost her tags? Granted she’s chipped, but having her name and contact information on her would sure save everyone involved a lot of trouble, no?
Well good news for you my friends. Today is your chance to enter to win a custom engraved collar.
Maybe you’ll be brave and only put your dog’s name on it, or maybe you’re paranoid like me and like to have your contact information included. It’s all up to you!

Oh gosh not over here… chips OK but too much information is what the dog nappers want. Time and time again we here of dogs taken and held for ransom. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Best wishes Molly

I do worry like you do. Living in such a rural area, I’m much less concerned about dog nappers that I would be if we still lived in the city. My dogs are chipped and they wear collar tags with their name, our name, address, phone number and our vet’s phone number. I even have the vet scan for the chips at each dogs annual wellness visit.

Mom is terrified that we could take off some day, so we always carry our info on our collars and we have chips too. Hopefully we will never go missing.

OUR mom worries Also…. We are Chipped and have our tags on our collars…
Callie, Shadow, and Ducky's Mom says
I wouldn’t call it “paranoid”; just extremely concerned for Delilah’s safety.
Our girls are all chipped, too; which is a good thing, because they’ve been known to escape their collars altogether (especially Ducky). Luckily, it has only happened indoors so far. Callie and Shadow used to chew on each other’s collars — when they were much younger — in play. I’d find the collars and tags all over the yard. Then I wised-up and got them leather collars. The tags still came off occasionally but not as easily. Since I’ve been home, though, I went back to the nylon web collars so each one can have a different color. It’s a lot easier for me to tell which dog is missing her collar. And a lot easier for the vet and his staff to know which Golden Girl is which.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with being paranoid if it helps keep a child or a dog safe.
