Welcome to Thursday’s Barks and Bytes.
Before I get into what I am thankful for this year, I’d like to let you all know, I am once again participating in the Advent Calendar for Dog Lovers hosted by Kol’s Note and joined by Dogthusiast, NEPA Pets and Wag ‘N Woof Pets. If you haven’t heard of this, it’s a 24 day EXTRAVAGANZA. Check back here beginning Monday where I will have details for each day’s prize.
This year I’ve tried to life my life with gratitude. It hasn’t always been easy and there are many days where I don’t think about it until bed time, but when I lay down to sleep, I try to think of 10 things I am grateful for for that particular day.
First and foremost I am thankful for my family. I am also thankful for my dogs and my friends. I have a decent home and a decent job and I’m grateful for those as well.
I’m grateful I live in a country where I have freedom of choice and freedom of speech and I’m truly grateful for the men and women who sacrifice so much to allow me those freedoms.
I’m grateful that Sampson has recovered well from his ACL surgery and I had the opportunity to snap some photos of him and Delilah playing the other day.
Long time readers know that my daughter served in the United States Army following in her father’s footsteps. Both my nephews have served, two of my cousins have children serving now. My father served, two of my uncles served and countless others who I love dearly have made the sacrifice as well. I’d like to thank all who serve(d) and remind YOU
Our wish for you today is really no different than our wish for you every day. That you are surrounded by everything you love, that you are healthy and happy.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, from all of us at Heart Like a Dog.
Welcome to Thursday’s Barks and Bytes Blog hop hosted by 2 Brown Dogs and Heart Like a Dog. The Barks and Bytes hop is for anything at all and all bloggers are welcome. You don’t have to be a dog blog to join. For new blog hoppers, a blog hop is list of links that is shared on multiple blogs. In order to be fair to all participants Linda and I ask you to please use the linky list. If your blog does not support a linky list, please link back to either Linda or I.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, too, my friend!! Love the pix of the pups playing! And I, too, am grateful for all those who have served in our nation’s armed services. My Dad served in the Merchant Marine, and my uncle in the Navy, during WWII; my brother served in the Coast Guard for 40 years, and my cousin was an Air Force nurse for several years.

What wonderful sentiments, Jodi. You have a family to be proud of! I’d like to thank them all for their service as well, and it’s a good thing to keep all those serving in mind today. We certainly wouldn’t have all that we do without them.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family from all of us!

Your attitude of gratitude has inspired me. So I guess one thing I’m thankful for is your regularly reminding me to be thankful.
Oh, and for some really adorable pictures of Sampson and Delilah playing.
Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving.
