You make me smile (or laugh,) the funny, sweet, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.
Sampson and Delilah, when I tell you Daddy is coming home after being gone for five days and you run to the window to look….
You make me smile.
Your turn, what do your dogs do when either you or someone in your house has been gone for a while? Do they watch at the window or the door?

Gus goes to the door barking when he hears his Dad’s truck, just in case he needs to protect me!. He doesn’t believe it is ok, until he can hear his voice. When we both come home together, he will rush past my husband to greet me first. It is that first bonding thing!
Gus is a golden, by the way.

When Mom tells us someone is coming, we all go to our own favorite front window spots and wait, tails wagging! Sampson and Delilah look so cute there together waiting!
Frankie and Ernie says
We will bet that your dad LOVED the greeting that you gave him.

Oh. My. God!!! You do THAT too?! I thought I was the only crazy one who did that! But in our house, Daddy’s just coming home after a long, stressful day at work.

Ours have their spots on the back of “their” couch, that looks out over the driveway, and they usually spend a lot of time there watching for one of us to come home.
Two French Bulldogs says
The bet he is just as happy to see you

OMG! I recently left my GoPro camera running to record Cupcake while I was gone. I expected to see 3 hours of her sleeping on the chair, but NO! She’s all over the place checking things, looking around, running from room to room, on and off the chair, couch, and her bed a hundred times, under the table, squeezing in between the stove and radiator and hiding there, climbing on the step stool to see out the back window. She is one busy-ass doggie. No wonder she sleeps when I come home. I always say, “How can she be tired? She was alone all day sleeping.” Alone, yes. Sleeping, NO.
