You make me laugh (or smile) the funny, sweet, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.
We have a little electric grill that we use for heating up foods, or making delicious sandwiches. When I’m doing up dishes after dinner, I take the wet dishcloth and run it over the grill, close it up and let it sit. When the dishes are done I take a paper towel and wipe the grill clean.
Of course Delilah is always right there awaiting an opportunity to assist me in some way.
Thursday night we used the grill to heat up some balsamic chicken for dinner. After I had wiped the grill off I turned to dispose of the paper towel and I noticed a tiny little spider crawling on the rug. Not thinking about what was on the paper towel, and only thinking about the spider I reached down and squished it. Delilah of course bent down too. As I squished the spider I realized that my paper towel had gross grill stuff on it and I stopped what I was doing to get a clean paper towel. As I turned I said to Delilah, “Don’t….” But it was too late.
Delilah ate the spider.
I could only laugh, a deep belly laugh and I said to Hubby, “I can’t…I don’t…this dog.” We both just laughed and laughed.
Your turn what kind of silly things do your dogs eat?
Callie, Shadow, and Ducky's Mom says
Oh. My. Dog! That is just too funny! And probably would have happened the same way in this house, with Ducky, if we had one of those grills.

Delilah must have thought you were the best Momma ever……making sure her “treat” was extra special!

GAH! Balsamic Spider! How yummy! Once I ate a butterfly. It wanted to be eaten. It flew right into my mouth.

My cats eat that kind of stuff all the time. Bailie was really bad when we first got her. Being from a litter of 14, she fought for food since day one, so she would hoover up everything and anything she found. Drop it, leave it are her most used commands to this day, although she has drastically improved. One morning right after we got her, it rained and those disgusting worms were all over the ground. She tried to eat those and I thought Mom might puke…yuck!

Grasshoppers were a delicacy for our beagle Kobi. I thought he just liked to chase them, but then I realized he was eating them too!

I bet she loved it. Torrey will eat the odd thing if given half a chance. Both dogs like deer pooh though. Or bunny pooh, that’s good too.
Dawn says
That’s so funny 😀 Dogs will eat the most disgusting things. This is similar to when one of the dogs eats too fast. I can’t get a paper towel fast enough because by the time I get there, the vomit is completely gone. GROSS

Oh Deliliah the spider was not even candy coated

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!
(That was originally just ‘ew’ but yet again your blog judged my comment as rubbish and unhelpful and said I had to say something longer. So i expanded it!!)

My kitty cat will eat spiders without the balsamic vinegar dressing. Heck as picky as she is, she would probably turn her nose up and just want plain…lol.

I had a sheltie – Zoe who I would have to fight for watermelon and green beans (frozen when she was teething) and canned sodium free when she had to loose some weight.
