You make me laugh or smile, the funny, sweet, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.
Delilah, when you get all interested in something you see moving on our walks…
You make me smile. When it turns out that something is….
a curled up leaf…..you make me laugh.
A little back story, to her credit it was very windy yesterday morning and the way the leaf if curled up, it did look like it was skittering on the road.
It still made me laugh though.
Has your dog ever chased something that wasn’t what they thought it was? Sound off in the comments.

Leaves are dangerous criminals. Sometimes, they try to kill me. Thank you for realizing the threat, D.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
She’s got a good eye and has your back!
That COULD have been a Squirrel in Leaf Camo you know!!!
My dogs hear and see things all the time. Sometimes I have no idea what it is, and sometimes it is a leaf, a branch, or a rock.
Anything that moves could be an evil presence that must be investigated.
Leaves, a piece of trash, something from their imagination… They certainly are silly!
Ducky barks at just about anything, except the squirrels and birds. She stalks the squirrels & birds like a cat.
😀 Maya would have been interested too. Pierson would have been scared. Goof-balls. LOL
Bailie is totally into chasing moths right now which is funny. I often sneak up on a branch piece with leaves thinking it is a critter. Mom finds it silly, I find it embarrassing! Bailie is also a leaf chaser. Even though she turned one, she kept her puppy characteristics.
You can’t be too careful, right, Delilah?
We had a whole bark-athon here because of a dead leaf yesterday. It made us laugh!
Jodi – My dog Phoebe is a great hunter of MOTHS … she will tear the house apart until she finally catches one that was accidentally let in from outside. But the other nite I really had to laugh because she was scared out of her wits when one landed on her back and she couldn’t get to it and she kept going round and round trying to get it off but it just stayed there. she is white and it was dusk so she kind of glowed so I think that’s why the moth was attracted to her. I laughed so hard I thought I was going to wet my pants. Even my usually stoic hubby got a chuckle out of it.
Wouldn’t it be great if we all found such excitement with the routine!
That’s just one of the great reasons to bring a dog into your family. We get to see things from a wonderful perspective.
I’m so glad that we have goofy dogs in our lives to keep us smiling and laughing!
Silas does a lot of realizing that evil scary things are, in fact, totally normal regular things. Like the time he barked ferociously at my empty grocery bag, because I got a smaller paper bag instead of a larger one. I sat it down in the floor, and he almost died of doggie embarrassment.
You are just like me. At first I’m scared then I see it’s a leaf
Lily & Edward
Oh dog yes!!!
So many times! And they always have the same look of disappointment when they realize it was nothing of interest!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
When Mity was younger he used to chase Blossoms which was very sweet, especially when they got stuck on him!
Dogs have such good eyesight for things in motion. Honey’s been interested in traveling plastic bags, herself.
Blueberry once stalked a…rock. To be fair, it was in the shape of a rabbit. Well, sort of. (snicker)
Freighter does that too and it makes me laugh!
