Spring is my favorite time of year. I’m not sure if it’s because I was born in spring, but there is something about the new birth and the resiliency of life beginning afresh after a sometimes long and hard winter that I find simply amazing.
I love being able to open my windows and leave them open at night while I sleep, snuggled down under a blanket with a dog (or two) plastered against me.
I love the smells. The smell of rain, dirt, freshly mowed grass and of course the flowers.
I love the sound. I’ve really been enjoying walking Sampson early in the morning and listening to the birds whistle, warble and chirp back and forth to each other.
I love the colors. The green of the earth contrasted against the blue of the sky. The way the grass sparkles and glistens in the sun after a fresh spring rain, the explosion of colors from the flowers.
Yes, I love spring.
I’ve been noticing my dogs seem to be loving spring too. So I asked them, Sampson, Delilah what’s your favorite part of spring?
Do you or your dogs have a favorite season? What is it and why?

I like Spring and Fall when the temps are in the 70’s. I don’t even mind when it rains when the temps are there. I’m physically comfortable. However, Vlad & Barkly both love winter the most. They’re the most playful then. They aren’t running from the sun to try to find a shady spot. They aren’t dragging me ASAP to the next shady tree when out walking. They aren’t going to the gate and refusing to do anything but go back inside. I’ve been wondering how they’d be if I had them dyed a lighter color? Would their coats reflect the sun away from them then? Would they be cooler? Hmmm
I love all the seasons and really wished that we had proper season over here rather than varying shades of grey!
After the horrid Winter you have had over the pond Spring must be welcomed with open arms this year. We are enjoying ours too after the endless rain we had. We agree just the sights and smells lifts ones spirits. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Best wishes Molly
I love summer. The hotter the better. I lived my first 3 years in Georgia, so NJ is cooler than I am used to. A street nap on burning hot asphalt is my best summer activity.
Love and licks,

Don’t dislike us, but we love winter the most, late spring is second, can’t stand early spring because it is messy and ugly! When we get back from Vegas it should be awesome out!
I love Spring, too, for all the same reasons. Only problem is that it doesn’t last long enough down here! And, we can’t leave the windows open at night because the traffic on this road is like the Long Island Distressway, nearly 24/7!
But I love Autumn too, with all the leaves turning yellow, gold, and red, and almost every shade of each! It’s beautiful, especially if you can catch it at its peak in the mountains!
Well, paws down for my huskies, it would definitely be winter.
My fav season has always been spring. I am not a fan of being overly hot, nor am I a fan of being freezing, so spring is perfect! And my fav part of spring? Definitely the smells!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
We are still going between turning the heat off and back on so no sleeping with windows open for us…yet. Brown dawgs favorite season is hunting season of course. 🙂
I love summer and fall, love the fall colors. I also love the smell of rain. Have a great day.
SPRING…. Spring is the BESTEST of ALL… The Sun the Sights and the Smells. Love it all.
We love spring too. Lots of new smells

Spring and Fall are my favorite because I don’t have to bundle up like a marshmallow and there are bright colors and sunshine–but Barley acts like I’ve just sent her to the Sahara as soon as I’ve made her walk in 60 degree weather, so her vote is for winter. She loves dashing through the snow and rolling in the snow and tossing her toys into the snow.
I love spring too. Especially the flowers and all the fresh colors.
We love spring and we love living in a place where spring starts in February when the almond trees bloom across the valley.
I love the Spring here too, but we are already hitting temperatures above 90 so we didn’t have much of a Spring:( Enjoy yours!
Autumn has always been my favorite season, with spring a close second. I was just out taking photos of my forsythia bush a few minutes ago….they are one of my favorites too. I also love listening to the birds sing in the morning….I can hear the robins when I’m still lying in bed. Though I think they wake the dogs up earlier! The dogs love all the seasons I think, with each one varying their routines.
