You make me smile (or laugh.) The funny, cute, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.
Delilah, your determination to lay on the couch, despite the obstacles put there to keep you off…..
You make me smile.
Back story: We are allowed to give Sampson a bit more freedom in the house, but he’s not allowed free access to stairs nor is he allowed to climb on furniture.
I knew the first place he’d head would be the couch, so I blocked it off, threw a couple of dog beds on the floor and encouraged them to use them.
The first night Delilah stood at the end of the couch contemplating. Hubby said, “She’s going to go over.”
But she didn’t!
Yesterday morning same thing. She stood at the end looking longingly at the couch, again she didn’t.
Hubby and I ran out to do some errands and I put Sampson in his room, and allowed Delilah couch access. When we came home, we took Sampson out of the room and once again blocked off the couch.
While we were having a bite of lunch I looked up and said to Hubby, “She going for it.”
Sure enough she did. She looks so damn content just lying there, I couldn’t help but smile.
I keep forgetting to remind you, please vote for #9, Crunchy Blueberry Pancakes, in the Excalibur Dehydrator give away hosted by Kol’s Notes. The last day is tomorrow!

Well done, D. You are a problem solver. My technique would be to stare at the obstacle and wait for Mom to help me.
Love and licks,

Obstacles are there to be overcome LOL.

Sounds like my sister Bailie. No dogs on the furniture but she keeps jumping up on it. Katie and I never have done that but Bailie just thinks it is so fun and Mom is not happy about it! Hugs to Sampson as he continues to recover!
Callie, Shadow, and Ducky's Mom says
Sounds like Callie! With limited indoor space in which to put “things”, I had no place to put the couch cushions. So, I put 2 of the snack trays — end-to-end — on top. Did that stop her? At first it did. But as she got stronger, got more of her stamina back, I had to do something. The soft-sided crate hadn’t come yet. So, I had to dig out the old baby gates. I came home one morning from dropping Ducky off at daycare to find one gate laying on the floor and my two Golden Girls on the couch. Thankfully, they don’t really have to jump up on the couch. They can climb up and then ease themselves back off of it onto the floor.

Hey Delilah… that is sooooo cool… “THEY” have put up barriers to keep THEM off your Sofa. That is the most considerate thingy we have ever seen ANY peep do fur one of us.
We hope that you THANKED them appropriately.

Don’t you just love the determination of dogs? We’ve had parts of the house gated off since Luke, but don’t think some of those gates are going to stop Cricket when she wants to get somewhere!
Roxy the traveling dog says
She does look happy there. Is Sampson sad he can’t join her?
