For Love of a Dog
There was a package in the mail box yesterday and it was addressed to me. I looked at the address, didn’t recognize it immediately and thought, “I don’t remember ordering anything.”
I couldn’t wait to get inside to see what it was.
When I opened the package and saw the paw print paper I knew immediately it was from Sue at For Love of a Dog jewelry. My next thought was, “I don’t remember winning a contest.”
Inside the wrapping was two boxes and one of the boxes had a little card that said,
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Jodi!”
“I thought you could use a little pick-me-up, so here’s a could little somethings that I hope will make you smile.”
“Love, Sue”
Here’s what was in the package.
Aren’t they amazing? What a wonderful gift! Thank you so much Sue!!
If you are in the market for some unique gifts, I highly recommend Sue’s products. I currently have three pieces of jewelry and I’m looking to add more, the problem is everything is so awesome, I just can’t decide what to buy! The attention to detail that Sue puts in her work and in her packaging is incredible. Truthfully I could get an empty box from Sue and be delighted with it, it’s that pretty!
Thanks again Sue, I’m totally keeping these ornaments out and finding a place to display them, they are not being boxed away to wait for Christmas!
Snow
We are getting another big snowstorm. It is supposed to go all through today and tonight and into tomorrow. Of course I had to run out and get bread and milk.
NOT!
I don’t worry about not having milk or bread, do you? If you do, can you tell me why? I’m just curious. My philosophy is even if we get snowed in, we will be plowed out within a day or so. It’s not like I won’t be able to go to the store.
I worry more about losing electricity and then losing the stuff in my fridge and freezer. Thankfully we have a generator now, so at the very least we should be able to keep our cold foods.
Speaking of snow, I took this photo during the last snowstorm. I pointed the camera at the sky and snapped the picture.
I think it’s pretty cool!
Do you know what else I think? I think it’s Thursday Barks and Bytes Blog hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog.

That’s very sweet of Sue! 🙂 Lovely surprise! Have a good weekend coming up, Jodi. 🙂

You are welcome, Jodi! I thank you for your very kind comments about my work 🙂
I don’t get the bread and milk thing either, but I know to go nowhere near any grocery store here just before a storm. It’s pandemonium! Living in the country, we have a generator, too, so our pre-storm preparation means we usually run to the gas station to make sure we have enough fresh fuel to weather a long outage. Love that sky photo!

I didn’t get bread, but I DID stop for a quart of milk yesterday! And 2 boxes of pudding, a box of donuts, and a quart of ice cream. Those are the only storm supplies I needed.

We’re in the northeast and we’re getting the same storm today/tomorrow. Incredible, isn’t it? This winter has had more snowstorms (6 – so far!) than we’ve had in years – the snow totals have actually broken records.
Your V-day gifts are so nice! And what a wonderful surprise! 🙂

I work at a general store and we are never busier than right before a snowstorm. But you might have to add beer to the list of things people need to buy, just in case. LOL
I love Sue’s jewelry. I bought earrings for a friend for Christmas and had to get myself a pair also! I think she’s having a giveaway today so I need to go enter that.
Cool photo of the snow….it’s just starting here now.

Sue is a sweetheart and that was soooo incredibly kind of her!!!! Her items are just the best too! Enjoy!

Oh gosh, Miss Sue is so sweet! Those gifts are perfect! She does such beautiful work. I’m curious why, if you lose power during a snowstorm, you would need a generator to keep your food cold in the fridge? Wouldn’t it get cold in the house and thus still be cold in the fridge? Am I an idiot for thinking that’s the way it should work? BOL
Happy Thursday,
Oz

What a WONDERFUL and VERY special Surprise!!
We always make sure we have MILK when the weather is going to be bad… butt mom can MAKE Bread.
We have been snowed in as long as 8 days at a stretch. That is a LONG time to go without a drink of milk.
Dogs N Pawz says
That is so cool that Sue sent you a surprise! She is awesome!

I love those! I think Sue’s jewelry is sooooo cute. And more snow, yuck.

*SQUEEEEE* Those ornaments are ADORABLE! How very thoughtful!
I do run for bread and milk. My teenagers go through milk. And bread means that we’ll at least have sandwiches for those teens if we run out of everything else. I also buy plenty of toilet paper and brownie mix.

Those are super cute. What a great gift from a good friend.

Wow! What a wonderful gift. 🙂 That was so very nice of Sue. She really does make some pawsome stuff!
Regarding the bread and milk… Smart. I didn’t even think of that when we had our snow storm. Luckily, we didn’t lose electricity so all was well. Our power lines are underground so we seldom lose electricity due to bad weather.

How sweet! They are adorable!! Enjoy your snow day – the sun is actually shining here – woohoo!!

We got one of those ornaments for Jack at Christmas – agree they are very cool. Love your snow photo too!

Thank you for making Mom feel better. We don’t go on a shopping binge when extreme weather hits either. We have enough food to last us all for a long time, even if it has to be frozen or canned and we don’t understand the panic shopping at all! Love your little gift. Somehow fate has a way of hitting you with something unexpectedly pleasant like that just when you really need it and it makes you feel so good. I’m hoping God sends me a wabbit or something for all the stuff I am putting up with these days from Bailie – LOl!

Hi Y’all!
Just got our power back, which means we have heat and water again! My Humans are so excited!
What beautiful jewelry…that was such a wonderful and thoughtful gift!
As for shopping in case of emergency…my Human hates to shop! When she does go she stocks up so she has stuff for emergencies. When winter rolls around she keeps the bathtub in the guestroom bath full of water and all year long keeps fresh potable water in case of an electrical outage.
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

Wow those ornaments are awesome. I love Sue’s stuff and need to pick out something for myself. I ordered a bracelet for our club’s raffle last year and it was a big hit.
OK so here is the thing. Once hubby and I went on a trip west. We got stuck in a Budgetel motel for 3 days in Mankato Minnesota due to a blizzard. No food and no way to get food. It was the same storm as the one in the Perfect Storm. So yes, I get milk and bread when a storm is headed this way…lol. I also travel with some food whether we will need to eat or not. 🙂
Cool pic of the sky.

Wow those gifts are fab, what a nice thing to do! Um, if your freezer broke couldn’t you just bury the stuff in snow for a few hours if you got really desperate? That’s what we do at Christmas when there is wine that needs chilling and no room in the fridge!!
joann stancer says
Beautiful ornaments. That sue is such a thoughtful person. I’m so blessed to have her as a friend. Love the snow photo, I always have bread in house but not usually milk because I forget to buy it and sometimes goes to waste.
Donna says
Such pretty ornaments…what a nice surprise! 🙂
However, I think you should send it back, and see if she can change what Delilah’s carrying to a stolen bag of potato chips, or a garbage bag, or something…
