Welcome to this week’s edition of Follow-Up Friday, the blog hop that wraps up your week and leads you right into the weekend.
Joining me for this prestigious (I can call it that, right?) event is my friend, soon to be published author, and fellow blogger, Donna from Donna and the Dogs.
Thank you for joining me this week Donna!! If you don’t know Donna and her three dogs, Toby, Leah and Meadow, well what are you waiting for? I learn so much from this lady. Not to mention her handsome Toby looks eerily like Sampson.
Dawn asked, “Does Sampson really get under the covers like that?”
He will for a few minutes, but typically no. He loves to lay in the sun or in front of the fire, but he does not like to be under the blankets. Although he does humor me sometimes.
First, thank you all for not calling me that crazy dog lady. I truly believe in being proactive rather than reactive, so if something seems strange to me I get it checked.
2 Brown Dawgs asked, “Are you going to have his hips checked too?”
I did mention my concerns to the vet and she will examine him before the cleaning, I may call her the week before and discuss all our options. My thought process is while he’s out, why not go for the whole enchilada?
Roxy the Traveling Dog said, “Why are we as women so awesome at guilt?”
I wish I knew the answer to that! My life would be so less stressful without the guilt.
Pamela said, “I hope the secret procedure is something fun–like perhaps a piercing? Or a tough doggy tattoo?”
You caught us Pamela. He wanted a Prince Albert but I talked him out of it; he’s agreed to settle for a tattoo of “MOM” on his upper front leg. 😉
Ranger asked, “When do you get your pictures of you hip?”
His dental cleaning is December 10th.

Jan K said, “It never occurred to me though that I could enter for things to give as gifts or to give to shelters.”
It never dawned on me until I won food I knew I couldn’t use, then it was like a light bulb went off in my head. LOL
2 Brown Dawgs said, “If I win something, even if I keep it myself, I try to make a donation to our local shelter. I figure its some treats or food I don’t have to by myself, so why not make a donation?”
That is totally awesome!! I think I’m going to start doing that myself, as most shelters/rescues will tell you, every little bit helps!
Jessica said, “When I run a contest I usually remind readers that even if they don’t want the product, they can enter and donate their winnings to a shelter.”
That is a wonderful idea!! If I ever get to the point of giveaways, I’m going to remind people of that myself!
Emma said, “Mom is a multidog walker, has been walking two for many years. We have our own command “obstacle”.”
Hey Emma, I say whatever works for you!! Typically I say something like “ACK” or “NO” and apply a tiny bit of pressure on the leash of the dog who is heading the ‘wrong’ way, but this time I decided to ride it out. But I might just try teaching, “obstacle.”
Pamela said, “Thanks so much for sharing about the Pet Blogger’s Gift Exchange. I’m so glad you’ve forgiven me for randomly pairing you with a cat blogger.
I’d love to see more cat bloggers join the fun. After all, if dog bloggers and cat bloggers an get along, there’s hope for peace in the Middle East. ”
There is nothing to forgive. I’m so glad that I was paired with Kristin, she’s totally amazing AND Pamela, if ANYONE can broker a peace in the Middle East, my money is on you.
So based upon your encouragement I played with the picture in both PicMonkey and Fotor, here’s what I came up with.
That’s it for this week’s edition of Follow-Up Friday, hosted by Donna and the Dogs and Heart Like a Dog. Remember, if you’re interested in co-hosting, let me know in the comments.

Love your Christmas images but could you get a roaring fire in that hearth? 😉
Hawk aka BrownDog says
Hi Y’all!
Love the fireplace…perfect for a winter scene…add the wreath and you’ve got the perfect Christmas scene for Sampson and Delilah with their Santa hats!
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

I love what you did with the photo. I knew it would be perfect and you made it so!
I just ordered my cards from Mixbook yesterday and I used the dogs in winter scenes. Next year I am going to think about enhancing the photos the way you did. 🙂

Happy FUF! Mom is still working on our cards…hope she gets moving a bit faster soon! You did some good work with your photo. That obstacle command is a good one, although we have so many weird word commands. I guess whatever works, we are never a family that fits in a standard mold!
Molly The Wally says
Love the pic makeovers. Nice one and well worth the effort.
Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly

Cute cards! Love the hats that you added, together with the wreath and chimney, looks triangular like a Xmas tree shape ^___^ Do you choose one out of three to print or do you print all three? 🙂
Donna says
Thanks for having me aboard Jodi. I like the third Christmas Card photo best. 🙂
Roxy the traveling dog says
I like the pics!! #2 and #3 especially. And I agree, if cat bloggers and dog bloggers agree to well…agree, there is hope in the world.
Flea says
I love what you did with the photo! But especially the last one! The top hat is the perfect touch. 🙂
Sand Spring Chesapeakes says
I love the second photo down! You did a great job on all of them. Have a great weekend.
jan says
I think a roaring fire would be a nice touch but it might detract from the dogs too much.
Sue at Talking Dogs says
Great follow up! Love that festive doggie fireplace scene. Hope you like a split lead. We got one years ago and really love it. With 3 dogs, it still takes two peeps, but it’s wonderful not to have to worry about long leads. Jeffie and Rudy caught on right away, so I’m sure Sampson and Delilah will, too. Have a great weekend! (Our dogs will if it ever stops raining!)
Jessica @ Life with Duke says
I love your Christmas Card! I just started playing with Fotor a few days ago and I’m liking what I’ve been able to do so far! The Pet Blogger Gift Exchange sounds like fun, I can’t wait to enter. Thanks for sharing!
And thanks for hosting such a fun blog hop!
Pamela | Something Wagging This Way Comes says
I couldn’t help myself. I laughed out loud when I saw Sampson in a top hat. It was so unexpected. 🙂
Dawn says
All those edited photos look fantastic! The first one is my favorite. 🙂
houndstooth says
I love how those photos turned out! That is so cool!
I’ll have to remember to remind people that they can donate to shelters, too. That’s a great idea!
Bunny insists on being under the blankets all the time! We try to convince her not to, sometimes, but it’s a no go!
Jan K says
I love the photos! I think the one with the snow is my favorite.
I gave away some of my recent winnings (food we decided not to try at this time) to a friend of mine and she was thrilled. I love 2 Brown Dawgs’ idea of making a donation to a shelter either way.
Dogs N Pawz says
Your photos are great. We really like the last one the best. Mommy needs to get busy on her Christmas cards! Loved your post about giving extras to the animal shelters. Mommy did her FUF post and linked up but her thumbnail isn’t showing up? She thinks she did something wrong:(

Love the photo — and the “effects” á la picmonkey and fotor! I have to see what I can do with some of my pix. Have you tried SnapStory yet? I have it on my iPod, but haven’t had much time to play with it.
Also love the idea of giving away future winnings to the shelter! But first I have to find time to enter the giveaways. One of these days, maybe.
