I walked out of the bedroom door and said, “WTF is this wet spot on the floor?”
My first thought was that my water had broken, but I knew that was wrong because 1) my pants weren’t wet, 2) the puddle was in front of me, not under me and last but certainly not least, I wasn’t pregnant.
My second thought was someone had an accident.
On the rug.
In front of the bedroom door, NOT in front of the ‘go outside’ door.
Then I looked up and saw the empty ice cream container. The one I’d filled with water and left in the sink to clean out before recycling.
Yup it was clean.
A couple feet away was the cover.
I was pretty certain I’d left it in the sink. In fact, I know I didn’t leave it on the floor.
Oh that delightful lab, Delilah with her mad lab skills carried a half-gallon ice cream container full of water, about fifteen feet BEFORE she spilled any.
Why she spilled it there is beyond me. My guess? She bumped into the bedroom door and dropped it.
I told you she had mad skills.
This Monday Mischief Blog Hop is brought to you by Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog, and My Brown Newfies.

It’s amazing what skills they have when they are doing something wrong! BOL – although, I’m not sure my first thought would have been about being pregnant. Too funny!

Wow. I am thoroughly impressed! Mad skills? You’re not kidding. There is no way any of my dogs could have done that.

Labs must be such fun dogs to have around, but I think I will just be entertained by their exploits on your blog and stick with Poodles who are not nearly as entertaining.
Jen@MyBrownNewfies says
Lol! That Delilah certainly does have some mad skills! Leroy would of totally made the biggest possible with that 🙂
Dogs N Pawz says
She is amazing! I don’t think my dogs would have made it that far without spilling the water!

How did she get it out of the SINK?

WAY TO GO DELILAH !! THAT is so GOOD of you to help your mom get her chores taken care of …when she was obviously TOO TIRED to complete the task.
SHE must be SO PROUD of YOU!!! We know that WE are!!! BRAVO WELL DONE Girrrl.
Sheena says
Delilah sure is gifted! I would have paid money to see THAT trick! 😉
Flea says
Oh my word! Those are some mad skillz for sure! My dogs managed to get an entire rotisseried chicken, and the ceramic plate, all the way across the kitchen from the counter, without breaking the plate. Of course the chicken was gone. But a tub of water? Very impressive. She’s brilliant.
Peggy Frezon says
I can’t blame her, I love ice cream too!
Ike likes to get into the sink and help do the dishes too!
Jackie Bouchard says
Good grief – how did she get it out of the sink?? It’s a good thing Rita doesn’t use her jumping skills for that sorta mischief! At least it was in fact just water!
Hailey and Zaphod says
It is impressive she got it so far before dropping it!
Molly The Wally says
Wow that was a well impressive kitchen raid but pity there was no ice cream. Have a marvellous Monday.

That is one gifted dog! She must have been so sad there was no ice cream left.

Jackpot, D.! A bucket of ice cream flavored water. Yum. What’s better than having a big strong body and nice long legs to reach into the sink. Lucky dog!
Love and licks,

Wow, that takes some talent! I thought maybe my sister Bailie had visited your house and had an accident. We are accustomed to seeing that these days 😉

Hilarious. You had me going with “my water broke”. But the thought of a dog managing to carry an ice cream container full of water that far without spilling – wow!
Doggy's Style says
If they only would do those things on command, you’d be rich or at least you’d have a decent maid.
“Delilah! Bring my soup please.”
-Yes, Madam.
