This is my post that typically runs on Sunday. The Dogs of Blogville was supposed to run today but we had a little bit of a problem with a couple of photos submitted so I’m going to need another day.

You Make Me Smile
One of the big reasons I started this blog was for all the crazy, funny things my dogs do that bring a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.
Sometimes it’s not easy to write a full blog post about it and sometimes I forget to share.
Some posts will be You Make Me Laugh and others will be You Make Me Smile, but they will all be the silly, sweet, funny things Sampson and Delilah do that help make crazy days just a little bit easier.

Delilah, when you stretch out across Daddy’s pillow and lay your sweet head on my leg, you make me smile.
It also melts my heart and makes me sigh with contentment.
What are some of the cute things your ‘babies’ do when they snuggle in for a snooze?
Sweet. Katie tends to lean in on Mom like that or put her paw around her. I just like to cuddle up next to her and snuggle. Any dog contact is good contact!
Cute! Gambler sleeps between our heads on a pillow and he has to fluff it up and turn circles then lay down with his head by my head. Norman has to lay by my feet and put his head on my feet. Nellie just lays there and Glory crawls under the bed and you see her tail sticking out.

That sweet picture looks familiar. I love that all my dogs want to touch me and be touched.
Too cute. Leah’s not much of a snuggler at all, but Meadow wishes she was allowed on our laps. Toby could care less either way, he is more interested than sneaking up on the bed for a snooze than snuggling with us.
So sweet Delilah! My Maya loves to cuddle like that too. She also likes to sleep at my feet. Pierson is a sweet boy, loves to play and be petted, but he’s not a cuddler. Too bad, because I just want to hug him like a big fluffy teddy bear.
Oh, I love the chin on the leg thing. Rita is not a huge cuddler, but sometimes she does do the chin-rest thing, which I love. She is more likely to just lie next to me or the hubs on the sofa. Every night before bed she jumps up with us for a bit and we play and snuggle on the bed. She loves a head rub, so she’ll flop on her back and rub her head against me or the hubs. Such a sweetie! She sleeps almost the entire night in her own bed, then gets up again around 6.30 in the bed with us and snuggles against the hubs’ legs until it’s time to get up.
Lucky dog, D. Your mom says your head is sweet. My mom says my head is bony. I know she loves it anyway…..
