One of the big reasons I started this blog was for all the crazy, funny things my dogs do that bring a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.

Sometimes it’s not easy to write a full blog post about it and sometimes I forget to share.

Some posts will be You Make Me Laugh and others will be You Make Me Smile, but they will all be the silly, sweet, funny things Sampson and Delilah do that help make crazy days just a little bit easier.

Fart

Believe it or not, I’m actually surprised by her farting, only because I’ve never heard a dog’s fart before.  They are usually the silent (but deadly) kind.  Does your dog fart?  Do you hear it, or are you only aware of it when you smell it?

  4. This is rather embarrassing, as we rarely fart, but sometimes at night when I am heading up to bed I toot and it always blows my GBGV mind! I have to turn around and check my behind to see what happened just like Delilah. Mom makes a big deal saying ” did you toot, Emma”. Now I know what toot is but I cant’ say I like it. I’m glad there is another dog that does it too!

  5. I have had a lot of dogs in my life, but I have never *heard* one fart. The picture of her turning around to see where the noise came from has left me grasping for air.

    My grandmother always called them “poofs” which is quite dainty and more like the sound than “fart.”

  6. WE love to FART. Farting is one of the FINER things in life… in OUR opinion.
    We have them TUNED… Mine (Frankie Furter) are always F Sharps… and Ernie’s are E Flats. BOTH are grrrreat fur making mom and dad SQUEAL with Delight.. Well, we THINK they are delighted. They fur sure SQUEAL when we strike up the BUTT BAND.

  8. Lucas does that, too! It cracks me up because he always looks so genuinely surprised… like… what the heck just came outta there?!

  10. OMD!!! This is too funny!! The poodles I grew up with only seemed to pass the “silent but deadly” kind, and usually after Mom fed them the skin off of cooked chicken wings, breasts, and legs. I never used anything but skinless breasts so I didn’t have the problem. But now….every now and then, Shadow will get a case of the farts. Her farts are more like squeaks, but every time she farts she jumps out of her own skin, tucks her tail between her legs, and tries to run away from herself. If it wasn’t so distressing for her, I’d probably laugh so hard I’d have to run cross-legged into the bathroom! If Callie and Ducky do fart, I’ve never been able to tell.

  17. I’m pleased to report that Honey does not fart. Unfortunately I can’t say the same thing about a husband who shall remain nameless. I haven’t checked to see if he glances at his backside, though.

    Poor Delilah. She probably expects you to be more discreet. 🙂
