Hubby refuses to have a facebook page. It’s all good, facebook isn’t for everyone. Except he has a tendency to look over my shoulder and ask, “What’s that?”
The other day someone had posted a photo of their dog and he asked, “What happened to that dog?”
I said, “He’s missing an eye, that’s what our next dog is going to be.”
“A dog with one eye?”
“Not necessarily a dog with one eye, but the dog will be black and will either be a Senior or a Special Needs dog; or a Beagle rescued from lab testing.”
“I don’t want a Beagle.”
(I’ll tell you what Hubby always told the kids about “want” but I’ll save that for Friday’s post.)
I tell you all this because today I’m once again participating with Dogs N Pawz for the Tuesday’s Tails Blog Hop and I’m once again focusing my efforts on a Senior.

Meet Emma. Emma is a ten- to twelve- year-old, fifty pound black Labrador Retriever looking for her forever home. She’s a very laid back, yet sweet and loving girl who loves the company of people and other dogs. She’s house- and crate-trained, walks well on leash, loves to go for rides in the car, and generally does anything she can to please her people. She’s looking for a loving home where a senior dog that walks a little slower, and enjoys her naps can have the love and companionship she desires.
Emma is currently being fostered in CT and is one of the Labs being sponsored by Labs 4 Rescue. All Labs 4 Rescue pups are altered, up to date on their shots and have been temperament tested.
For additional information about Emma #22 please email Susan Ekaireb at susanekaireb@gmail.com.
I’m not normally one for asking people to share my posts (of course if you love them and want to that’s totally your choice) BUT when it comes to helping dogs find a loving home to spend the rest of their days. Well let’s just say, I’m not above begging.
Please share where you can. Together we really can make a difference!! This is Tuesday’s Tails Blog Hop.

Good luck Emma – you’re gorgeous. And why doesn’t Hubby want a Beagle?
Hope she finds a good home.
What’s not to love about Emma? We hope she finds her perfect forever home! (We’re at capacity here!!). 🙂
Emma is beautiful! She is perfect for someone who isn’t up for the challenge of training and keeping up with a puppy. good luck, sweety.
We hope Emma finds a forever home soon. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
I would take Emma myself — right now — if circumstances allowed for it! I hope she finds her forever home SOON! I’m sending positive energy out everywhere to help her.
And why doesn’t the hubby want a Beagle? Is he afraid Snoopy might climb into his winged doghouse and go looking for The Red Baron again? 🙂 Or maybe find Schroeder and his piano and start howling along? How can anyone not love Snoopy?!
Ahh – she is a sweet looking girl (I tweeted your post, btw). Husband and I each come from a long line of people who have a heart for those special needs animals and have taken in many of them over the years.
We are not quite ready to get another dog (or two) as this summer I will be practically living at college, but I suspect this will be our only summer dog free for a long time. We very much miss our Rosy and Dexter dogs…
Mom’s first thought is why is she posting about my dog but then we remembered that Emma is a very popular name! She looks very sweet and we hope she finds a great home to spend the rest of her years. Now my sister is a senior dog so we know how great they are!
I shared her on Facebook and Pinterest, hopefully someone will be able to make room in her heart and home for Emma.
Aww, what a sweet face – I hope she gets scooped up and treated like a queen! Sending positive vibes 😉
What a sweet girl

My husband will have nothing to do with computers but always asks me what I am doing. LOL Hope emma finds a forever home. I love the senior dogs.
Shared Emma’s story! I hope she finds a home soon.
My fiancé is with your hubby….he doesn’t want a beagle!
what a sweet post, I hope that Emma finds her furever home soon! With all of the BlogPaws hoopla I totally forgot about this BlogHop and prob will forget next week too just coming off of the conference.
My husband is like yours, he doesn’t have Facebook either!
Safe travels and see you soon!
I thought all men wanted a Beagle. It makes them feel like they might become a Mighty Hunter…someday…maybe…
I hope she finds her furever home soon. Shared.
Sheba.
Hooray for you considering a future special needs and/or senior! As you know, the “specials” are very, very special indeed!
Emma looks like a real love. Reminds me of Hunter, the ten year old blind lab we fostered a couple of years ago. (We scooped him from a free to good home ad)
She is very lovely – I do hope you will update us when she finds her forever home!
Great intro 🙂 Love Emma’s sugar lips! Sharing.
Ahhh Facebook. I understand your hubby’s decision not to go there. I’m almost out of it myself. Love that you’re already considering your future dog adoption options. I’m still surprised to read about how hard it is to rehome black dogs. Don’t think we have that problem in Oz.
Emma looks like a sweetheart; in fact, she reminds me of our late Shiloh. Hope she finds her forever home real soon and thanks for joining the blog hop!
Senior dogs are so awesome. Lady is my first senior foster and she will not be my last–so great to have a calm being around! And that whole thing about not being able to bond with an already grown dog? Tell that to Lady when she’s at face lick #103 of 154!
Emma is a beautiful Big Black Dog and I am glad a rescue is sponsoring her. I hope some adopter sees her beauty too.
I hope she finds a great home Jodi! My husband is the opposite…a beagle is about the only “small” dog he can stomach. 🙂
She sounds like she will make someone a great companion.
