Welcome to the latest edition of co-hosted Follow-up Friday.
Once again, I have a new co-hostess. Should you pop over to her blog at any given point in time you’ll see a story or a photo of Louise, Sofie Bear, Nine, Noel or Baby Stella. They could be taking a trip to the docks or watching flowers grow. Sometimes, they’re complaining because mom hurt her knee and can’t take them for their walkies. She posts every day (sometimes more than once) whatever the topic, there’s no doubt she loves her zoo. (Her words not mine.)
Please help me welcome Lorian from Dogdaz!
Many of you thought you’d be confused by the trail markers and I have to tell you truthfully, even though the trails all seem to intersect with one another, it took me the LONGEST time to figure it out.
We’d be walking along and Hubby would ask where we were and I wouldn’t know. He’d say, but you walk these trails every day!
Eventually you figure them out. 🙂
No, we did not get more snow! This is an old photo from our pre-Delilah days. One of my favorite walking trails along with one of my favorite photos of Punkin. I love the sunlight vs shadow in this photo.
You are all very welcome for not showing a video. I’m sure you realize the chicken head doesn’t look like it just came off the chicken, it’s actually kind of spooky. But the story was meant for amusement and some of you were amused and some were skeeved out. I can assure you I was skeeved out the first couple of times but after that it didn’t bother me, until the chicken was moving it’s mouth.
Let me try and put this in perspective, a box of 40 pounds of neck with each neck weighing an ounce or less equates to about 640 necks give or take. I don’t find a head in every box so it’s not all that bad, it’s just a bit shocking the first couple of times. 🙂
Did you love this idea for a blog hop? I sure did!
2 Brown Dawgs said, “I wish shelters did more outreach to pair senior dogs with senior people who may want a dog but due to their age may outlive any dog they take in.”
I like this idea. A lot! I’ve already decided when the time comes for me to add another dog, I’ll be adding a black senior.
Donna said, “How sad….I don’t know how anyone can drop their dog at a shelter…especially a senior who spent so many years with them…” I agree Donna, but I think the soldier being deployed felt he had no choice.
All Things Collies said, “I wish there was a rescue set up to take in and foster these dogs when their owners are deployed.”
Then Frankie and Ernie said, “I THINK that there is a program that will find FOSTERS for those who are deployed. Does anybuddy remember hearing about that a couple of years back???”
And yes, I’ve heard of programs that will find fosters for soldiers on deployment, I can’t however put my finger on the name at the moment. I do think however that many times our soldiers have no idea of the programs that are available to them.
Well most of you took the nice, polite PG caption I had for this photo.
Here are some of my favorites:
Jackie, “I thought this was gonna suck, but it’s actually kinda nice!”
Pamela, “Hello Baby, you know what I like…” and then, “Am I the only one who thinks that if Sampson could talk he’d sound like the Big Bopper?” You know, I never really thought of what Sampson would sound like. Delilah on the other hand…..
Jessica, “You need to clean the bugs out of that light cover lady”
Mine is totally disgusting, not family oriented and will probably offend some of you, so if you want to avoid that skip down to the end. I’m rating it R for Raunchy.
For those of you brave enough to handle my dirty humor, here it is
So THAT’s a blow job, it’s not bad but I don’t think I’ll be bragging about it to my buddies.
I told you it was Raunchy.
This is the Co-hosted Follow-up Friday Blog hop, hosted by Dogdaz and Heart Like a Dog.

Must admit to having thoughts about that answer too but delicacy forbade me 😀

BOL! You’re caption is priceless and clearly my fave…I spent a few years as a volunteer trail blaze painter on the Florida Trail…you wouldn’t believe the size of the job manual we had to follow and the paint colors (orange and blue) are mixed special for the Trail and considered proprietary…we did take great care to make our blazes as frequent and clear as possible cause we hated to think of anyone getting lost out in our swamps…i was under the weather and missed a lot this week so FUF is great way for me to catch up…Thank you!

We walk many of our trails all the time too but mom still manages to get us lost now and then…actually she is lost not us but she doesn’t let us help her out! TGIF!

I posted pictures if our recent hike. Have you been to that park? I think you would love it.

Thanks for letting us co-host today. Its fun. I agree about the cool sun shine in your picture. My dogs are not so happy about the hair dryer. Have a great Friday!

I think a soldier being deployed is one of the few excuses for dropping a dog off at a shelter. No wonder I could not come up with a caption for your picture…I was on the wrong page…lol. Have a nice weekend!
Dogs N Pawz says
Your caption made me laugh!!!! You are hilarious! I had read a blog awhile back about a lady that helped find homes for soldier’s dogs that were being deployed. I can’t remember what the blog was but I searched for it and found this site instead: http://dogsondeployment.org. I think I will mention it on FUF today when I finally get to it!

Your caption is funny, but sad that it’s nothing to write home about. 😉

Oh, Jodi, you’re a lady after my own heart! I’m STILL laughing at your “raunchy” caption! I happen to LOVE it! At the time I first saw the picture, I just couldn’t come up with anything funny, so I put it aside and then forgot about it. I like the one about cleaning the bugs out of the light cover, too.
Pamela | Something Wagging This Way Comes says
That’s the funniest BJ joke I’ve heard all day. 🙂
Flea says
Pamela, it’s early yet. How many do you hear a day!?
Elyse and Riley says
Haha, I chuckled at the blow job joke…! I’ll have to join the blog hop one Friday, I love this idea.
Nicole says
I thought the joke was perfect, especially since I’m a groomer. We say it all the time, and when I want to spook people when they ask what I do, I cut B!tches for a living 😛
I also love your tuesday tails! To bad Tuesdays are towards the end of my work week (my Thursday), so I’m usually pretty exhausted to do anything 😛 But perhaps this Tuesday we’ll try and squeeze something in! 😀

Heehee. Your R-rated caption is too funny.
My PG-mind (Ha!) went with the “suck” joke rather than the “blow” joke. 🙂
Love the seniors-for-seniors idea. I always think when we have a mellow older dog at the shelter where I volunteer, “This dog would be perfect from a senior!”
Genevieve says
Skeeved out. Perfect description…. 🙂

That caption cracked me up!
I missed the post earlier, but we actually do have a senior pet adoption group in our area. They help pair seniors with older dogs. The theory behind it being that a lot of people are afraid to adopt a young dog because they worry they’ll outlive it and don’t have the energy for training a young pup anymore. They have a vet who offers a discount for the seniors to take their pets in and have volunteers who will help drive them to vet appointments if need be. They will also foster the dog for them if they have to go into the hospital for some kind of surgery or brief illness, and they promise to take the dog back if the person passes away. I think it’s great reassurance for some people who really want or need the companionship of a dog or cat but aren’t sure they’re able to take care of them in certain situations.

Ha, ha , ha!!! Love your caption 🙂
