Well okay, I may have embellished that a little, my point is those little WordPress monkeys who were hard at work figuring out everyone’s statistics (and sending them out) finally got around to calculating mine.

Who compares a blog to the Cannes Film Festival?

Oh, the wordpress monkeys that’s who.

4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 20,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 5 Film Festivals.

In 2012, there were 211 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 267 posts.

The busiest day of the year was November 23rd with 1,444 views. The most popular post that day was Dogs of Blogville Calendar Contest.

Those little monkeys must have been watching movies while they were calculating my stats, I see lots of movie references in this report.

These are the posts that got the most views in 2012.

Some visitors came searching, mostly for heart like a dog, hurricane delilah, jodi stone, heartlikeadog.com, and heartlikeadog. (I wonder how many of these searches were mine?)

Where did they come from?

73 countries in all!  Most visitors came from The United States. The United Kingdom & Canada were not far behind.

Glad to see they’re off the film theme.

  4. Very cool stats Jodi. The only one that confuses me is that it says you added 211 new posts in 2012….but you post every day….???

    • I know Donna. That part has to be wrong. I switched to self-hosted in August, if they went based by August, it should be around 150 posts or so. I just don’t get it. These stats are only based since I installed JetPack and I don’t remember when that was. The posting part is definitely wrong which makes me wonder, how much else is incorrect as well.

      • Well at least if they under-analyzed that, you may have had more views, etc., too. (not the that the views you got were bad anyway. 🙂 )
