I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, ours was pretty good even though we were missing a few family members.
As I noted in an earlier post, I have to keep my tree gated off to keep Delilah from eating the ornaments.
This year she was really good, never even went near the tree until yesterday when I removed the gates for Christmas morning.Β She was particularly interested in a sand dollar ornament I had picked up in Florida on one of our vacations.Β I assume it was because her nose smells better than mine and she can smell a faint trace of sea life.
Hubby and I were sitting and relaxing with our Irish Coffees and playing a little Donkey Kong and I guess I may have relaxed a little too much, because all of a sudden I heard Hubby exclaim, “Delilah!”
Yup, she got it.
Once she got it, she stayed away from the tree.Β Bob on the other hand kept going underneath the tree scratching at the bag of dog treats.
Gates are back up.

Well I’m thinkin it was just an Honest Mistake.
I’m thinkin you may be wrong. :0
I would imagine that Delilah felt very bad about it π
Bassas, I’m not sure Delilah feels bad about anything! LOL
She was determined to get it and she did!
She is a very determined and stubborn girl!
This is why we didn’t have a tree this year–I have a feeling there would have been a battle waged against our tree that only a Scottish Terrier who is stubborn and determined could win! π
Yes I imagine the will of a Scottish Terrier is very similar to that of a chocolate lab. π
Hmmm part of me wants to defend Delilah buuuut…lol
I can see how you might want to Misty, and part of me wants to too. π
LOL I can just imagine Delilah with visions of the sand dollar ornament dancing round her head all the Night Before Christmas. π
I can imagine it now too! I never thought of that.
LOL sounds like Deliah didnt like your ornament π
Damn dogs …. sigh… I have to get a new tree – haylie ate two lights and chewed on the strand and killed the bottom lights of the tree. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Oh No! That would piss me off! LOL
At least she wasn’t hurt…
Oh dear… silly Delilah! We’ve been lucky with Bella – the only Christmas-related item she ever ate was a sheep from my mother-in-law’s Nativity!
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. π
You are very lucky! Delilah has been very destructive with the tree, the first year she ate one of my 29 year old ‘babies’ ornament.
I had a cat that once used the Nativity for her litter box, that was the last year we used the sand. :-0
