For those new to the blog, my follow-up Friday provides me with an opportunity to update or revise a post from the previous week. You know sometimes you post about something and you need an update but it doesn’t warrant a whole blog. Or sometimes someone made a comment that really resonated with you. Yup, Follow-Up Friday baby! 🙂
Last Chance – Update
Your last chance is really on the 28th, because that is when the promotion ends, but I have to tell you. I got a LOT of followers on Twitter, now I just have to learn how to tweet.
Snarky Dogs – Author’s Note
Some of you found it hard to believe that Sampson was the snarky dog, I know it surprises me too. But I’ve been watching and observing and here is my theory. Dogs can be jealous and they can be possessive. When Sampson is getting rubbies or lovies from a human and another dog comes near him, that is when Sampson will employ his, “Hey get away from here!” Snarl. Snap. Growl. 🙁
Have any of you experienced or observed this with your (or someone else’s) dog?
That’s about all I have to wrap up this week, I hope you had a great week and an even better weekend.

Cheyenne can get a bit like that at times. I just give her a stern correction and she settles down. With her it seems to be as she is getting older, I tell her she is senile 😉

So how DO you correct that Misty? We usual pull Sampson away and put him in a sit or down. If he does it frequently I will remove him from the situation.

I just get in her face with a very stern “NO, knock it off” and she usually goes about her business, she is all talk and I do think it is because she is getting older.
Sounds like you have a good handle on what you are doing and if it works keep doing it 🙂

Storm does not like strange dogs to get in her face or to approach the truck when she is in the crate. Thunder does not like when aggressive dogs he doesn’t know charge him. But otherwise they are pretty easy going. They are not really the jealous type.
Merry Christmas to you. Hope Santa brings Sampson and Delilah some great treats. 🙂

I agree, neither of my dogs like the other snarling dogs in their face, Delilah doesn’t like people approaching the car at all, which can make for some tricky traveling situations in states like NJ where gas must be pumped by an attendant. 🙁 That is when I usually pull the treats out and try to keep her calm.
I hope you all had a great Christmas.
