Before I get to the gist of this post I have a major announcement to make.
Today I FINALLY finished the page about Delilah’s health issues. You can read about it here, but I must warn you it is extremely long.
So yesterday I was writing about how good the dogs were going to and from the car without leashes. Today when we stepped outside, there was someone in the neighbor’s yard and both dogs ran right for him.
Sampson hung right around him, but once Delilah had greeted him she took off for the neighbor’s back yard and ignored me completely. I had to walk into the back yard and grab her by the collar in order to get her in the car.
Then we got to the park and found something in the field. I called her and could see her chewing as she ran towards me. I grabbed her by the neck (I swear I lost my head) and I was patting her back saying, “Drop it! Drop it! Drop it!” She swallowed it.
A bit later on, she was (once again) ignoring me, so I stopped to give Sampson some treats and she busted in between and ate his treats!
I need to be careful when I brag about how good they are! 🙂

I had no idea Delilah had a health issue. If only our dogs could talk it would make it so much easier. I am glad that you found someone to help her. I bet you were relieved to have a diagnosis after so long. Obviously she is feeling well and quite sassy since she was blowing you off today. 🙂

LOL, I think she is doing much better. Sometimes I wish they could talk, and then there are days when I’m grateful they can’t! LOL
I have been working on that for a while now and finally sat down today and made myself do it.
It must have been the same for you when Thunder was sick, it is a terribly frightening feeling. I am just glad they are both better.

Molly does that alot lately. sigh. She was extremely sick once and we totally freaked out, it really is like having your child sick and they can’t tell you what’s wrong. 🙁 I know the helpless feeling. Glad things are looking up for Miss Sassy D.

Thank you Kathy. We are very relieved. I hope Molly is ok.

Miss Molly is a crazy little wackadoodle sometimes, but she’s perfectly fine now. It was just that one long ago terrifying night after her first ‘cocktail’ of numerous vaccinations at once. It was too much for her little 4 lb. body and she had an bad allergice reaction; she was twitching and racing around manically completely unlike herself, like she’d been bitten by something & then chased by a ghost, would settle down and then start up again, over and over. Since then we learned to only have one partial vaccination at a time, so we have had to go back weekly for quite an extended time to get them all done.

Wow, that sounds scary. I only vaccinate for Rabies and Leptos and thankfully those are not combination shots and Rabies is not every year! I do NOT like the combo shots and it sounds like poor Molly doesn’t either! Glad you guys figured it out so she is not uncomfortable; even if it means a bit more work on your part. 🙂

We don’t mind [although it sure helps that Mike is still unemployed] we would do anything for our Baby. 🙂
