I’m having a hard time trying to write this blog tonight. Today was my last day of vacation and I find myself highly unmotivated.

It looks like some meetings I’ve been in. One dog trying to exercise dominance over another.
Poor Delilah was a hot pup in demand that day at the dog park!!
It looked like they were having fun, esp. the first bit, apart from the mounting attempts 😛 She was good at getting away from that, at any rate. But she also had her hackles up?
Gwynn’s friend dog sadie tends to keep her hackles up when she’s interacting with other dogs for the first few minutes, though, so that might not mean much.
To me it looked like two dogs having fun. Yes there was a little bit of mounting going on but the dog being mounted was very good at sending the right signals and the mount-er was very good at reading them. They both seemed to have a good time. When things got a little intense, the one dog would stop for a moment and the other dog generally stopped as well. Excellent canine communication, I think, and nothing to worry about.
Even the lab that tried to join in understood the rules of the game and backed off when it was apparent he wasn’t wanted. Good dogs!
Hmm if I did not know better, I would say it is Thunder and Storm. 😉 But it couldn’t be Storm because she would not have put up with that for very long…
