It rained all day yesterday. I had plans with my daughters to get together for dinner and a movie, so my window for walking the dogs was small. I had great hopes of squeezing a walk in when we got a lull in the rain. As they say, “The best laid plans.”
There was no break in the rain.
I decided to go anyway, I thought if we went into the woods we wouldn’t get as wet as we would have had we walked in the field. I was wrong.
I was soaked to the skin within two minutes. The dogs were soaked too, but they did get out of the house, they did get some exercise and they did go potty. Something they probably wouldn’t have done had we stayed home.
Yes they are Labrador Retrievers
Yes they love water
But they don’t like rain…unless they are hiking in it.

No rain here. It was hot instead which meant Thunder was stuck in the house for the most part too. The 2 brown dawgs don’t mind rain as long as there is no lightening. Nice pictures of your soaked dogs. 🙂
So the 2 brown dawgs will go out to use the potty? Mine won’t.
nautica hates rain…i have to literally hold the umbrella over her
Poor Nautica! They don’t care for rain at all (unless they are hiking!) I swear once Sampson held it for almost 24 hours! Sampson wouldn’t go under the umbrella; it scares him.
