Today we decided to head back to Case Pond (where I took the puppies swimming yesterday) because Chet wanted to check it out.
When we got to the area where I lost Delilah yesterday, there were two ducks swimming in the water.
Naturally these ducks were of great interest to my water-loving retriever.
We wouldn’t let her into the water to chase the ducks, instead we pressed on and ended up walking all the way to the falls. Thankfully it was a gloomy, rainy evening and we didn’t encounter any people.
On the way back, Sampson checked out a little brook and ended up under the bridge.
Except for me stepping into a mud puddle, it was a pretty nice walk.

Im so jealous of your water locing dog! You’d think with a name like “nautica” she’d tolerate water..but no, mud puddles are her thing

It may grow on her. Sampson used to like the water but now not so much. At least she isn’t afraid of water!

That looks like a nice pond (and would be a great place to train!). Looks like your dogs enjoyed their walk!

How would you train? Do you mean working on her recall? Because she swims out and grabs the stick and brings it back everytime!
She stands and waits for you to throw it again and again and again. She really is a retriever! LOL
