A few weeks ago, I received the Genuine Blogger award from Just Ramblin’. I had every intention of writing a thank you in my blog and then, well things happened and I put it off and then more things happened and before I knew it, here I was like three weeks later FINALLY writing a thank you.
Just Ramblin’ is the creator of the Genuine Blogger award and she describes it as such:
I know that earning an award is very cool. Giving one is often even more so. I thought it would be nice to create an award that had no “rules” or “requirements.” It is just that…an award. An award given in the true “spirit” of giving some recognition for effort. It is not “official” but rather just a “fun” award. It does not require listing facts or awarding it to a certain amount of fellow bloggers. It is for the blog and the blogger. It will be given to someone for his or her genuineness in blogging. Free and clear. It is an award that I hope allows recipients to know that their work is appreciated, valued, and noteworthy by a fellow blogger and it does not have the pressure of “rules and requirements” to follow. If you choose to give this award to a deserving fellow blogger, please do so with no “rules.” Award it to someone for his or her genuineness in blogging.
I admit I was totally overwhelmed when first presented with this award. I mean you all know how I doubt myself and my work, honestly sometimes I read what I have written and deem it “rubbish.” There are days that I still really struggle trying to put a sentence together. 🙂 Really, check my grammar; it sucks.
It still surprises me when someone I don’t personally know, reads my blog and leaves a comment, never mind giving me an award!
So Just Ramblin’ please accept my sincerest apology for taking so long to acknowledge this tremendous award; and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for bestowing me with such an honor.

Wow. I do not even have words with which to respond. I mean…wow!
I think we all doubt our writing more often than we can or will admit, but each one of us is doing what we need to in order to become better and stronger, not just as writers but in our lives. We are taking a chance with our writing and being ourselves and to do that we have to believe in both. When we put our writing ‘out there’ for others, we are taking a necessary risk. When we take risks we grow. Never doubt your writing. It is wonderful and it is your voice. Your blog is terrific and a must read in my book! Also, no need to apologize! Our lives are one big chaotic attempt at living life to the fullest. I totally understand : )
Again, thank you for such kind words! Enjoy your Genuine Blogger Award…you are indeed that…a Genuine Blogger! : )
