“Mama’s little work of art,” Chet said as he rubbed Delilah’s ears.
“That’s what you are, Mama’s little work of art.”
When you think about it; dog’s really are a work of art. They enter our lives as a piece of canvas and stroke by stroke; layer by layer we create a picture. We shape the canvas with our words and deeds.
Delilah is a work of art, the result of hard work, patience, love and above all, the belief she was worth saving.
When we embarked upon this journey together 1,486 days ago, I knew it would be a tough road. Rescuing a dog with no history can be a risky undertaking, but Delilah is proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks.
It hasn’t been easy, as a matter of fact it has been a long, hard road that did not come without its challenges. But stroke by stroke, layer by layer my canvas has formed into a picture.

She is so lucky to have found you! Anyone else might have given up on her, but you stuck through the challenges and I’m sure if she could talk, she would say thanks mom! ^_^

Thanks Nicole, I think I am the lucky one. 😉

I can’t believe it has been that long since Deliliah came home. She has come a long way. She certainly does know how to push the buttons, but that is what makes Deliliah who she is. We can’t all be a cool as Sampson.

Thanks Sister, she is a lot of work, but very lovable.
