Tomorrow is the first day of summer, so far we have had relatively few really hot days in the northeast, but I’m sure that will change very soon.
Today was fairly hot and slightly humid, but the dogs don’t care they still want to get their walk in.
What we do on the hotter days is to fill the dog’s travel water bottle, we keep the walk to a maximum of half an hour and make sure to take a break at the 10 to 15 minute mark and hydrate the dogs and ourselves.
This water bottle is really awesome, it holds a quart of water and the bowl is detachable which means the dogs can drink from the bowl and we can drink from the bottle, plus it has a really long strap so you can sling it over your shoulder.
Don’t let the heat get you or your pup down, just fill up a jug and be smart about it. 🙂

I have a doggie water bottle..sometimes Nautica lets me drink from it…most of the time she prefers dirty river water

It is really wonderful, and the bowl is sturdy enough so the dogs will drink out of it. I had a bottle once that had a flimsy little tray and Sampson wouldn’t drink from it.
