“I see you’ve got the Crane Technique down,” Chet said from behind me as Sampson rushed past.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“That little move you do when the dogs push past you,” was his reply.
When you have a ninety pound dog running at you full tilt, you learn to lift your leg.
Luckily for me I can hear them coming.

lol Great posture!! I’m the ninja in my family, cause I can spoke the dogs with my light footed walk. Its what I’ve learned since I’m up so early and everyone pulls night shift in my house. Don’t want any barking that early in the morning, just want coffee 😛
I hear that Nicole! I love my coffee! Do you have any Ninja poses?
Haha 🙂
yup… my dog-resisting move is to do a slight squat (bend your knees!) every time I hear them coming towards me. Except when I screwed upmy knee, and then the squat was more of a ‘i have to go pee!’ leg-twist, because i was trying to protect the knee and also not be bowled over. super awkward 😛
LOL Lexy! That sounds funny, any chance of getting a picture of that? 😉
Oh my word! That did it for my sip of coffee. Busted out laughing! Such a moment and so very true! : )
LOL I never realized it (having never seen myself from behind!)
How does this help? I assume you would fall much easier..unless you are very zen
Oh it doesn’t prevent me from falling, it allows them to pass me on the trail without running into me! 🙂
Too funny!
